My 2 year old grandson loves to pound (and pound and pound) on this toy. You know you have been accepted as a friend when he hands you the hammer and says. "Ew hit it". The puppy kept trying to run off with the smaller parts but a couple times of Robby crowning him with the toy hammer put the stops to that. My daughter loves it because she knows where Robby is and what he is doing when he plays with it due to the pound, pound, pound. If you are prone to migrains, do not buy this toy, but otherwise it is great.

It's an ok toy. My son loved it. We got it for him for Christmas. Some of the noises get annoying after a while. Still, it's pretty cool. I rather him play w/ these tools than mine.

My son was 17 months when he got this and loved to play with it! I got him all the extras to it, the drill, and tool belt I think are a must have.....He plays with them all and its great to have the additional tools so you can play along with them. He is now 19 months and still going strong with it. I would give it 5 stars if it had more songs to it and more attachments to keep it around as he continues to grow.

"TOO LOUD!" | 2007-02-07 |

My 19 month old son received this for Xmas. He likes playing with it, since he loves his dad's tools so now he has his own. However, I cannot STAND it. The constant music and talking is so annoying, mostly because it is too loud. Unlike most toys that have 2 volume settings, this one only has one - HIGH. The designers of this toolbench obviously do not have children - if they did, they would have made a low and high volume switch. If you could control the volume, I would have a more positive review on this; I would not recommend this toy if you live in an apartment and have thin walls - your neighbor will want to confiscate it. I wish we had spent the $50 on something else.

Our two year old son absolutely loves this toy. He got it from Santa and has not stopped playing with it since. We like it much better than other ones we have seen because he can stand up and play with it instead of having to hunch over or sit down. We are going to get him the tool belt next. This is one of his favorite toys from Christmas.

Got this for our 2 year old who loves Elmo. Easy to put together and fairly entertaining. Had it 3 months now and seems to have taken a beating by the 2 year old well. Only plays with it occasionally now. Not too loud and annoying for adults.

We bought the tool bench for our 21 month old grandson. He loves it and it is sturdy because he pounds on it with the hammer. He spends a lot of time playing with this. I would reccommend this.
