I did a lot of research on indoor bicycle trainers and saw that this CycleOps was very popular and had all great reviews. I'm here to tell you it really is an amazing product. It is quiet and sturdy. Even with quick release tires it still holds the bike in place. My suggestion is to use tires that are not knobby and this trainer will almost be silent!

I agree with the prior reviews. The trainer is easy to set-up and is a bit noisy. Thankfully it is not too noisy so I can still hear the TV. You must get a climbing block to, at a minimum, keep the bike level and balanced.

This winter has been colder than usual and I missed many days riding because of that. I decided to purchase a trainer so I wouldn't completely miss out on the physical part of my rides. I wanted to make use of my existing bicycle and not have another big thing hanging out in my garage. This trainer works well for me - not too expensive, easy to set up (the written instructions aren't great), takes little space when not in use and it does give me a way to get a bit of a workout. I do still find it extremely boring to ride inside.

I spent well over $200 for this item in a regular bike store, as of today, Amazon has the best price.
It's a solid build, folds up nearly flat when not in use (a big plus for me with small space!), holds the back wheel steady and doesn't produce a huge amount of noise.
The guy at the store set it up for me, it took under 5 minutes. I folded it up and brought it home. Now I use my bike indoors everyday.
Make sure you don't overadjust the tension, or it will create too much heat. Just use your gears to adjust resistance. Other than that, everything is pretty much as simple as it gets.

I really reccomend it.

When I found out this trainer was made by Saris- the same company who made my bike rack I was sold. The quality of there products is great IMO and the lifetime warranty can't be beat. I did have some problems understanding some of the set up instructions but a quick call to there customer service department ( the number is at the bottom on the last page) had me up and running- so I did not take off points for this.

VERY happy to find out that I can adjust the resistance which my bicycle gears- which I was unaware of! The trainer does make a humming noise which is not bad at all even with my hybrid tires. I can still hear the television- but I do plan to purchase some slick tires since I plan to ride on this trainer all winter.

I just finished my first ride on my mag trainer. This is my first trainer and it gave me a decent workout for the hour I rode it. The only negative that I have is the noise. This being my first trainer I have nothing to compare the noise to.
