Virtua Tennis 3 is still the best tennis game. It is a LOT of fun to play, has intuitive free flowing shot making control that makes it feel like a real game of tennis and it has beautiful graphics. It has been made with a lot of love and care and attention to detail and it shows. It is an enjoyable experience to be in that space. Highly recommended.

I used to be addicted to VT on my PSP, playing the World Tour for hours everyday, so I hesitated when getting this since I assumed it'd be too awesome to put down. of course, I was right. The graphics are superb, very easy to just pick up and play since the controls are solid, and the overall gameplay is fantastic with well-balanced AI opponents. The best part is the World Tour, where you can design you player and evolve from amateur ball hitter to world-class marquis athlete. The training games are so fun and addictive, you'll end up wondering where the day went. One the biggest bangs for your buck on the PS3. A+

I am not sure why Sega don't put the online feature for PS3 version like the one in Xbox. Is not like the system doesn't have that feature when the game comes out, how come Sega don't use it? I think this game is great just like the previous two but it will be better if I can play against other people over the internet.

I love playing tennis, whether a video game or on the court. I have had problems in most every video tennis game I have played with the power settings on shots. The way it has always worked is hold the shot button longer and you get more power on the shot. The problem for me has been I was not able to get the player in a good position and hold the swing button long enough to build up power. With this game, you can hold down the swing button to build up power, yet still slightly move the player to the best position to get a good swing. The PS3 actually assists in moving the player in the best position and getting the most power and accuracy. The serves work great and the movement is wonderful. The graphics are amazing and I love the side games where you can build up your skills. I am very addicted to this game. If you are looking for an accurate, playable tennis game, go with this!

Only the lack of online play on the PS3 version keeps me from giving this game 5 stars. It's easy to pick up but it's hard to master at the higher difficulty settings. The designers had to make some compromises, e.g., second serves and balls hit into the net are not a part of the game. But you don't even really notice after a while. This game is a must for even casual tennis fans.

I have this game for the PSP and it's a real letdown. I got my PS3 for christmas and got this game used for $24.99 and I've played it every day since. I'm not someone with a long attention spand so I don't play the world mode only the arcade. I like a challenge so I only play in the Very hard mode and boy let me tell u.. it is hard. I have smash court tennis for PSP and only play in the hardest mode and it's nothing compare to this in hard mode. In hard mode on SCT I can beat elite players 6-0,6-0 just no challenge. If smash court tennis was as challenging as Virtua Tennis then it would be a really great game but competition wise Virtua Tennis beats Smash court hands down. The graphics in VT3 are okay, not outstanding. The players also don't look like the real thing. It doesn't have the sound effects like when maria sharapova screams on every shot.. I miss that very much. Smash court tennis have all of those but like I said, it's not as challenging. One thing I don't like on VT3 is that you cant play best of 3-5 sets which really sucks. I hear they are making a new tennis game hopefully it will be as detail as smash court tennis but as challenging as VT3. So in conclusion. If you want to play a tennis game where u really have to think and where the competition is good I say get this game it's fun in that respect. However, if you're looking for Nadal grunt or sharapova screams then forget it..
