"The BEST football game on Wii." | 2008-09-02 |

| I have all 3 Maddens on the Wii and this is by far the best there is. Want to zoom out and choose a player? Simply aim the controller at the guy and hit the A button. Simple. None of that cycling thru players and missing your guy. Sure, there are some bugs but just choose fantasy draft and play franchise mode. It will keep you entertained even today with the outdated rosters. It truly is the best version out there. |

"Great game, but get Madden NFL 08 instead" | 2007-08-15 |

Even though I haven't played it, you should consider purchasing Madden NFL 08 instead of 07 because there are many more features, like online play, ehanced controls, and many more minigames.
For 07, I really enjoy it, but the motion controls don't always work, so it might be a hassle for begginers. |

| I'm a fan of the game, and the video game too, got my first Madden NFL on Sega, and it was plenty of fun. Now I got the Wii and just had to buy the Madden NFL version. And because I am a fan of the video game I have to be harsh on it. I would give it a 5 star just because, but because I have played alot of other older versions, this one ranks on the top in graphics, and sound, and the extensive types of movements you can do; which brings me to the down fall for this game... Just too many, and poorly organized options. It just get's confusing at times. You can drive the ball for 60 yards and you will be 1st and Goal, and might very well end up 3rd and 27, just because of the sensetivity of the controls. I admit it is not all the fault of the game, but with too many buttons to push, you are bound to hit the wrong one. Confused, well I'm sorry, it's just a fun game to play (because I am a Fan), but just get's to you sometimes. It's a rollercoaster, and with that I just can't give it a 5 star. |

"Yes, Madden" | 2007-07-12 |

| I always hated the Madden franchise. I was a NFL Gameday junkie, and it was a sad day when Madden became the only licensee for the NFL, but this version made a believer out of me. The controls are tight and the animation is even better, and with the Wii, it's a lot more fun because that "body english" is put to good use. |

| I grew up on Tecmo Bowl and Bill Walsh College Football. I have not really enjoyed the latest versions of football games on PS2 and Gamecube becasue they are too complex and not fun, but the Wii version has renewed my passion. It's much easier and more fun with the Wii remote. Also, for $28.99 this game is a steal. |

I bought this game because basketball isn't as exciting as it used to be and I found myself missing football in the off season. I was expecting the graphics to be a bit better, but this game gets my blood flowing like it's the regular season all over again!
I even catch myself being sadly disappointed with Rex Grossman when I throw an interception with him. Just like in real life!
I think I read that John Madden's commentary can be repetitive... that's true, but it's not quite as annoying as I thought. The different game modes are fun too. I just wish there was a way to play the Superstar mode only when you're player is playing. I thought I saw it somewhere, but I couldn't find it when I was looking for it.
Franchise play would be better too if you could automate all the resigning and negotiating. But then again, you might be able to, there are a lot of poorly organized settings and options.
My primary complaint has to actually do with the selection mechanism. For some reason, it randomly moves to another selection without me pointing at it. That doesn't really hurt game play.
My secondary complaint is that the instant replay and challenge systems are complete garbage. It would be better if they didn't show you a replay... half the time you see the ball fall through the chest of the receiver or have one foot on the out of bounds line and it doesn't matter.
Regardless of the annoyances, this was a good buy. It will hold me back until next season. GO BEARS! |
