I have had this product for over a year. I followed the software installation instructions and it was extremely easy to install. It is great for scanning business cards (some special formats require manual changes - which is very easy to do). I have used it extensively for scanning personal purchase receipts, warranties and even user manuals - comes in very handy for warranty issues!
My wife is in sales and is contantly getting business cards from clients and potential clients. When I showed my wife how easy it was to use, she handed me a stack of about 50 business cards. In a very short time, I had scanned the cards and sent to her via email where she was able to import into her Outlook Contacts file. She used to keep a stack of busienss card and enter them manually when she had time - which was not often. Now she scans them herself and is very pleased with how easy it is! |

| I have used NeatReceipts from the beginning and have continually upgraded the program and scanners as they have been released. This program has saved hours of filing, searching and recording misc receipts. I have used this program for full size invoices to Home Depot receipts. My office has gone from piles of paper and files to recycled paper. I have printed out copies and had the stores accept them for returns and exchanges. GREAT TIME SAVING PROGRAM !!! This has to be the best way to consolidate receipts and documents! Best way to secure receipts that are thermally printed, since many of these receipts only last less then a few months. These receipts if exposed to humidity and/or sunlight can and will disintegrate faster.
This system was a saviour on my last business trip that included 12 cities over 3 months with a touring promotional show. Daily i would scan and create expense and budget reports to send back to the main office. Not only did this help at the end of the tour but helped document expenses that could be charged back to the client.

I travel all the time for business and when I get home the last thing I want to do is my expenses. I purchased Neat Receipts software and the scanner so I could just do my expense report in the hotel at night when I had nothing else better to do. It turned out to be one of my best investments as I now use the scanner to digitizes all my paper documents and I no longer travel with a stack of notes that just weigh me down while traveling. After I started to turn in very accurate expense reports, the VP of Finance asked what I was using and now the company furnishes Neat Receipts to all of guys on the road regularly.
Even when I am home, I find the compactness of the scanner to be a great addition to my crowed desk, opening space by getting rid of my flatbed scanner and just using the Neat Receipts scanner. It does a great job on scanning photo's documents and of course all my written documents that I now store on a back up drive at home and the urgent one on my traveling laptop. I highly recommend this product and I am looking forward to using their new NeatWork 4.0 soon. |

| I am a consultant and I bought this product for scanning receipts. It does a great job for that, but I have found that it is great for scanning just about anything that you want into a PDF file. I am satisfied with the product, but be certain that you have the recommended memory to run the software. The MS database that it uses is a memory hog. Be cautious of this on upgrades, since each update/upgrade usually requires more memory than the previous one. |

| The only fly in the ointment is the fact that this device only really works with Windows XP, and not Mac or Linux, and not very great (as of last month) with Windows Vista. Scans and helps you organize store receipts and business cards, very important items for anyone who likes to really keep track of their or their business finances. |

| I couldn't get it to scan a document without automatically turning the result 3 or 4 degrees leaving black wedges. The program will not allow any image adjustment in the document mode, just the receipt mode, which means if you want a gray-scale or color document scanned you have to totally rely on the less than adequate software to do everything (poorly). To try and eliminate the black wedges I tried scanning in the receipt mode, which takes forever due to the OCR software, and then cropping the document. The problem only became worse. So I went to the Neat Receipts website and their live chat where ultimately I was told it was a hardware problem and to enter credit card information to cover the event that I didn't return the defective unit. I gave out the information and waited; two days later I get an automated email that the problem was "solved" but I could log in on their website and respond to the email, which I did. I then got into a loop of automated responses to the concerns that I entered. Ultimately it looks like I have to return the unit to the vendor and they will not send a replacement like they first stated. So far I have wasted more of my time than the device is worth. I cannot see spending the time it takes to scan and recognize each receipt and allowing Neat Receipts software to keep track of receipts. Frankly after all the trouble, I don't trust the whole system to keep critical data. |

| This was one of the easiest installations of software I've had. You have to read the instructions (which I don't many times), but once you've done that it is a snap. It also is just what I was looking for as far as taking all of my receipts and putting them in some kind of structure. I can't wait until tax time when I have to produce my receipts for our accountant. Also, to have all receipts in this software will allow us to see and understand where we're spending money. |

| This scanner is awesome. I have scanned my tax receipts and had the total right away. As a teacher, I scanned students' work and put it up on the internet. I have scanned important document and put it on a flash drive. I have scanned every single business card I have ever had and tried to find more. This product is so awesome. It is not perfect and will not scan everything perfectly, so check all of the scanner work over. Nothing in this world is perfect. If you hate paper and receipt clutter, let neatreceipt help you out. Buy this product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| I found the Neatreceipts scanner easy to use, but soon broke the first one I had by feeding in a regular (but slightly thicker) business card that got stuck in the unit. The software is clunky and it is difficult to save files into JPGs to print or send. Also the scanner feeds smaller papers in crooked most of the time, requiring you to hold the papers while scanning again and again. Also, I am using Windows Vista and had a very difficult time running the Windows Vista compatible software from their website -- so much so that I now am using it on a Windows XP machine to avoid the difficulties. I noticed too that they've come out with a 'new and improved' software version at their website -- but you have to pay for it! Overall, I'd say avoid this until they improve it -- unless you already do a ton of scanning with a flatbed scanner. |
