"I Can Play Too...great for the musically inclined" | 2008-03-17 |

| My son has always been interested in music, so I initially purchased a cheap keyboard from Wal-Mart. But when the "I Can Play Piano Too" was advertised, I knew he had to have it for Christmas. My four year old now plays both his "I Can Play...) piano and his keyboard without any problems. It took him only 3 mos to master all of the songs on four cartridges, with both hands and both levels that I am now looking for a "real" piano and a teacher. All I can say is "Thank you, thank you" to the person who came up with this idea! |

| We continue to have the same power issues as other reviewers. What a shame. I will probably have to throw this toy away after one year of sporadic use. I usually love Fisher Price products, but this one has not been worth the money. |

| My son LOVES this toy! Some of the games are a little confusing, IMO--there are a couple that I couldn't figure out how to play, and I'm an adult!! However, My three year old loves it, and asks to play with it at least twice a day. |

| My 5 yr old son received this from Santa. At first, he couldn't get enough of it. Now it sits with the rest. I think with some reminders, he will be as excited to play it as when he got it. It has a lot of potential. You need to buy separate cartridges for more music, but it comes with starter music and you can play your own tunes. I wish the cord was longer. I don't think a child under 5 would "get" it. |

| We received this for Christmas and my daughter played it one time so far ...I think it is hard for her to play...you can not disconnect the plug and just carry it around and play which would of been nice. There are two games also to play but are very easy and do not hold her attention. I think this will get little play. |

"Piano Playing and Video Games in One!!!" | 2008-01-12 |

| My 6.5 year old daughter received this piano as an impulsive gift from Santa after she requested a real piano. Unsure of whether or not she truly wanted to learn how to play the piano, I opted to buy something much smaller and more affordable than a baby grand! It has turned into a huge hit. She is learning key placement and understanding notes. We have four cartridges that she uses to mix up the games and songs. When her friends come over, they are immediately drawn to it and ask to play as well. Some of the games even allow for two players which makes it very user friendly for playdates. |

"Very Disappointed" | 2007-11-02 |

We purchased this for my 6 year old who is very music oriented. She loves her toy keyboard, and plays lots of video games (lik vsmile) so we thought this would be a good fit.
We were very disappointed in the quality of the software, and my daughter was finished with it in about 15 mintues. She didn't even like the freeplay feature, because it had annoying background music.
This toy is definitely not worth the price, it's very poor quality. Also, the notes hardly matched up with the song, so you didn't even feel like you were learning the melody. |

"Glorified Video Game" | 2007-04-30 |

| My 5 year old received this toy as a gift, because she had shown some interest in playing piano. I thought that this toy would at least have some very basic instructional value, but it doesn't. It does not teach proper hand postion and it does not teach notes or how to read music. You plug it in to the TV and watch the colors go across the screen and hit the corresponding color key on the piano. That's it. A few different versions of this game, but it's basically all the same game. I was very disappointed that it didn't even come with a book or sheet music showing how to play the songs with the color coded keys. This means you have to plug it into the TV to get anything out of it, unless you are interested in trying to figure songs out by ear. If you already have some basic piano instruction, or if you are much older than the recommended 4-8 years, you might find this toy to be educational. But if you are looking for something to teach basic piano or music skills, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a video game, well, you could do a lot better than this for the price. As for fun, my child does enjoy playing with it occasionally, but again, this product was purchased with the idea that it would teach a child how to play the piano, and it absolutely does not. |
