"TomTom works WAY better than Tom" | 2008-10-05 |

| I've had my TomTom now for almost a year. I am legally named "Tom," and I can safely say TomTom has gotten us lost a lot less than "Tom." The touchscreen is quite responsive, and the menus are easy to navigate. I'd rate it a perfect five stars, but I lose the signal quite a bit when I'm in a city, and the battery dies quickly if it's not plugged in. It also takes a pretty long time to find satellites when it starts up - sometimes I have to turn it off and then on again in order for it to pick up a signal. Overall, it's a reasonably priced necessity, in my opinion. |

Our TomTom ONE XL 4.3-Inch Widescreen, Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator, which we recently ordered from Amazon.com is just what we wanted for travelling. We will really put it to the test when we travel to Scottsdale in a few weeks, we have no doubts it will save us many "domestic disputes" while on the road!! |

| It's a life saver in unfamiliar areas. If you make a wrong turn it readjusts its self to bring you into the right direction again. Sometimes it seems to take you out of the way but you find out later that it was the quickest and smoothest direction to your destination.br /Having just moved to an unfamiliar town it's great especially for my job as I'm on the road alot looking for new Bible Studies.br /I would recommend the TomTom One XL to everyone, especially if you don't like getting lost. |

"Nice item with Canada map" | 2008-09-23 |

| If you want a GPS with Canada map then you can't go wrong with TomTom, I purchased two of them for my sisters up in Canada and they love it. br /br /However, I regret buying the unit from TigerDirect. Beware of purchasing stuff from TigerDirect, I purchased 2 TomTom One Xl and within 2 week they dropped the price another $20 per unit. When I called for a price adjustment they refused to give me one, their reason is the item number is different.br /br /What Tiger direct does is they change the item number so that they can call it a different item even though the product is exactly the same. This way they don't have to refund/adjust your money. I never had a problem with Amazon on price adjustment. |

| I realy like the tom tom the only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is because i would have prefered a hard copy manual instead of a disc. I like to be able to read it and flip the pages rather than be glued to my computer. Overall it is very simple to use. |

| After reading all of the other reviews, some being negative, I decided to try the Tom Tom anyway. I cannot say how happy I am with this unit. I bought this to take a trip from Nebraska to Phoenix. I printed paper maps just in case. I NEVER used the paper maps. Tom Tom took me from my home to Phoenix perfectly. I never had any issues with locking up like some people claim. I never had any issues with Tom Tom taking me to the wrong place. My guess is that problems are with the operator. I literally left my front door and arrived at the exact address I specified. Even when I stopped off for food and gas, Tom Tom re-calculated my map and told me where to go. I never got lost. I updated the maps before I left and it worked great. This was the best $159 I spent. I am still not sure how I traveled without this the last several years. I hear other people complaining that they can't find the address, and taking them to the wrong place. I had no trouble with this device, but even if I did, you can't blame the device. It took me 1300 miles flawlessly. I am extremely happy. There are other models with more features, but I didn't find a feature that I needed that this unit did not already have. Extremely happy with my Tom Tom! |

| The TomTom One XL is a great GPS. The maps are easy to follow, and the spoken directions are a big help while driving. I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, who has a traveling sales job. This has been one of the biggest time-savers! If there is traffic, you can get rerouted easily to avoid jammed highways. You can download several voices from the TomTom website, including Yoda and Mr. T. Overall, it's a fun, basic, affordable GPS with a wide screen that you can easily see while driving. It is really easy to use out of the box, even technophobes will be able to figure it out. I would recommend this system to anyone looking for an inexpensive GPS. |

| I have only had the prouct a couple of weeks but so far it is great. Large clear screen, loud clear audio. I have entered a few points of interest and they were there. Still need to investigate some of the features.Specifically alternate routes. It takes a while for the GPS to figure out when I have taken an alternate and redfine the instructions. But all in all I would recommend this product. |

Got home from work to find box on the back step. I opened it, found the TomTom, browsed the first page of the instructions (I'm a guy), went out to my car and turned the TomTom on. It took me 3 minutes to enter some preference information and my home address and I was done, ready to try and get lost.
I love it, but I feel like I'm starting to lose my sense of direction. It's like having to add numbers by hand, like when I deposit my wife's Tastefully Simple checks at the bank. I feel like I'm in 3rd grade math class again - "9 plus 8, carry the 1..."
