| I had an old epilady that I got about 10 years ago that I used for my bikini area in between waxes. It wasn't too quick, but got the job done if I couldn't get to the waxing salon. The Braun epilator is amazing! I don't even go to the waxer anymore at all. I have completely replaced those $50+ trips to the salon with a quick, easy home solution. I have been waxing for years, so pain isn't really an issue. |

I have been using Braun models of epilators for many years, and this one is the best one, it takes all hairs even the tiny and shortest ones, I am amazed by its work! and the smart light is very good idea, helps identyfing very thin hairs. There is only one thing I don't like about this product: it is very noisy, other Braun epilators don't make such noise, it sounds like a mower) i hope Braun producers will take this litlle minus into conderation in next Braun models... Nevertheless, I still love this epilator for its efficiency! |

| I have never tried epilating before and the first 3 times I tried it on my legs, I nearly had tears in my eyes. After I got through the initial pain, it was like other reviewers said and the pain decreased significantly much as with plucking your eyebrows. I have attempted to do my underarms on a couple occasions, but it really did bring tears to my eyes, so I think I will have to think of alternatives for that area. I shudder to think what it would be like if I attempted the bikini area. I am really pleased with the results on my legs as my skin seems to be much smoother and I can go several weeks without having to worry about unsightly hair. Since my hair is pretty course and dark, it did take me several attempts to get a hairless leg. I have been using a body brush to exfoliate and have not yet had a problem with ingrown hairs. |

| I was quite skeptical to try this. My mom had an epilady long long ago, and I remember trying it and it HURT! Well, this thing hurts too, but it's SOOOO worth the end product of not having to shave every other day! I worked at my legs in sections, and it took a few days to get most of the hair gone. But NOW!!! I run the epilator over my legs every few days or when I notice a stray growing. NO more shaving, unless of course I want silky smooth legs, then I still have to shave. Haven't gotten the courage up to do my underarms or bikini area though. The only thing I can relate the discomfort to is getting a tattoo. It's that annoying uncomfortable feeling, but once most of the hair is gone, it's not bad at all. |

This baby ROCKS!
I never used an epilator before and it hurt like a motha, but I'm a gay guy and hair on my lower back upper arm and upper back and neck bothered me. I used Veet to take care of it before but lately I got chemical burns from it. So, I swung for this little machine because of the reviews here.
It works like a charm. I'll put up with the pain until I get used to it because I love the results. |

| I found this product because I was desperately looking for an alternative to shaving because noticed I am getting a lot of ingrown hairs. Yuck! I've used it for about a month or two. Although, it hurts like heck the first time, the pain doesn't bother you at all after a few times. So far all my unwanted hair is either lighter, or practically gone. I love my skin so much because it looks so clean! Personally, I will never go back to shaving after this product, especially knowing after a year or two my hair will get tired and stop growing. Also, for the ingrown hair, I keep it above the skin by epilating and exfoliating. |

"Better than Waxing, but not completely painless" | 2008-09-15 |

I have been waxing ever since i could remember but with the busy schedule it was damn difficult thing to do. One of my friend suggested me to use epilator and after lot of research and reading hundreds of reviews i bought Braun Silk Epil Xelle epilator. Like every product, this has its pros and cons which i am listing below:
Positives: - For those who have been used to waxing and have good growth of hairs this is the best product. It is much better than waxing as you dont have to wait for full hair growth and you can remove even smallest hair.
- The smart light is very useful as it highlights any areas that you can skip even during daylight.
-Its best for Legs and Arms and its much easier, cheaper than waxing. Saves a ton of money
-Hairs are completely removed and your skin looks as smooth as waxing and regrowth is also slow compared to shaving.
-Eventually Ingrown hairs also are reduced, if you implement and read the instruction manual, which gives you tip about removal of ingrown hairs.
Negatives: -Truth is it is bit painful, I would say slightly more than waxing. Thicker the hair, more the pain. So the trick is use shaver attachement for thick hairs trim them a bit and then use the normal hair removal attachment. This is just first time, once you get used to it, you will just feel it normal.
- Dont try straitaway in sensitive areas like under arms and bikini, it will hurt a lot. Use them on legs and hands if comfortable try slowly on other areas.
- It is not cordless and is bit noisy you have to station yourself at some place to use it. But i beleive battery powered wouldnt work at such speed so its ok.
-After hair removal, put on some moisturiser or body lotion to prevent bumps.
The trick to use this product in best way is dont wait for the full grown hair, just keep on removing as and when they grow. I have loved it and am much releived after buying this product as i can do it on my own convinience and especillay dont have to wait for the "rgiht time ". So best for busy women.
