i bought it because i need to start my car witch was sitting for year or so in my garage.it took me less then min to start and my car has big battery.i have put air in the tires too works very well.

I have used this product several time to start cars at work. Very good results. The air pump works good also. Easy to carry behind my seat in my pickup. The charge stays good for 60 to 90 days. I would recommend it highly.

I purchased this item more than a year ago for an old, uninsured pick-up truck that we might drive around our property once on the weekends and because the last time we went camping I didn't shut the car door completely when we packed out to hike to our site (yes, I'm an idiot). The truck usually starts, but there have been a couple of occasions when it needed a jump to get going. So, the ease of use that this product provides is great. It's not yet failed to jump a vehicle and it's nice not to have to pull another vehicle around and fiddle with jumper cables.
I haven't needed a jump on subsequent camping experiences, so I've thus far learned from my initial mistake, but it's nice to take this thing along for peace of mind. It's also nice to carry when tailgating just in case.
The reason I gave the thing three stars, though, is because the air compressor is garbage. On the first couple of uses I noticed that it gave off a 'hot' odor, so I made sure to give it a rest of a couple hours before using it again. Babying the thing didn't help. About a year from purchase the compressor went out completely. The hilarity won't be lost on me when I use my new air-compressor to fill up bike tires, floats, etc. using the car's ac adapter and then I have to use the Black and Decker to jumpstart the car.

As a tire inflater, it's still good and reliable BUT -and a huge BUT at that - the battery-charger worked only twice then petered out completely. Infuriating. Indicator lights tell me that I'm fully charged but it's a lie. No juice whatsoever. Bummer!

I would give it a 5 star if only there was a compartment to store the power cord and the "car cigarette lighter" adapter. I had to tape mine to the side so as not to lose it. Otherwise a great product at a great price. Good strudy quality.
Although I haven't owned this product for long it has already come in handy, working well to inflate tires. It seems very solidly made, with metal clips and sturdy cables. This is not a fancy piece of equipment and doesn't have some of the features of more expensive competitors but if your needs are limited to jump starting and inflating, this is the one for you.
