| I really enjoyed my Moto Rokr s9's for the first week. Then the touch buttons to turn the sound up and down stopped working. Then the move 1 song back button stopped working. Then today the volume, which I can't control via the buttons on its own went down while I was wearing them without me doing anything. And I can't get the volume back up because the buttons stopped working. Fortunately Amazon is sending me a replacement, but I am expecting better quality out of these. If not I will lower my rating to zero stars. |

"Great wireless solution" | 2008-09-18 |

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. I wanted a wireless solution for my ipod (and other bluetooth audio) so that I could walk around the offices without taking off the phones or grabbing the ipod. I did get the ipod dock adapter, but I also have an audio jack adapter.
I have read much about the quality of bluetooth audio, and have so far been discouraged. I expected tinny, scratchy audio but this was not the case. I am a hardcore audiophile, and regularly wear the bulky but awesome Sennheisers, only reverting to the earbuds when mobile. I can say, without hesitation, that the S9 headset is nowhere near as great sounding as the Sennheisers, but nowhere near as bad as some earbuds I've tried. Better sound and fit than the bundled apples, and almost, but not quite, on par with Sony's MX series, although, still, better fitting. For me, I was always irritated pulling a wire wrong and losing an earbud. Apple's seem to require replacement often.
These are NOT adjustable, and it may be annoying for some to tilt your head all the way back and feel the rear of the headphones. However, they are incredibly light, and you will not feel them at all unless you try. They stay put, and, most importantly, I have yet to lose an ear during any activity. I ride bikes, workout, and they are tremendous audio partner's for this. They also come with 3 sets of buds, so adjustment shouldn't be a problem. I have read complaints about not being able to lay back or launge with them. I use them when I'm up, walking around, working out, or working, and when I'm, lounging I use my Sennheiser's, so I don't have a problem. If you're looking for great stationary sound, spend the money on a good set of wired phones.
The buttons on the ears can be frustrating at first, because as you're getting used to them, you will adjust the ears and inadvertantly hit a "previous track" button. I quickly adjusted to this and after a day of use, this is no longer a problem for me, and, in fact, love the ease of the buttons for volume and track selection. They are easy to find by feel due to the design. I cannot comment on how well they work for use with a phone also, as I do no use them with my phone. Battery power is true to description, I fully charged them, drained them fully, charged them fully (according to instructions), and got slightly over 6 hours with them. Not 7, but over 6 isn't bad.
For those who don't find them loud enough, adjust the volume on your audio device BEFORE you insert the adapter. I have had no problems with audio volume. The ipod doesn't seem to push enough for my Sennheiser cans, but these are powered well.
Pairing was incredibly easy, much easier than previous BT headsets for my phone. Turn on the ipod or audio device, play a song, press pause, hold the power button on the phones to light it steady blue, plug in the adapter to the dock (or audio jack if you have that adapter), unpause, and wait about 5 seconds for the music to start playing through the phones. Anyone who has had trouble pairing I can't understand. Worked great for me the first time, and I could (unlike the sets for my phones) pair again without refering to the instructions.
In all, I am incredibly happy with this purchase. They sound better than most earbuds, are so light you won't feel them, and put just enough pressure on your ears to keep them in place, but not make your ears hurt like most earbuds. They aren't adjustable, but I find this minor compared to the convienience of wireless with my ipod. I had also used these with a stereo bluetooth adapter for audiojacks, and they work quite well. I can't complain, I love them and they fullfill their purpose completely. |

First use on my treadmill and the volume/call buttons on the left side stopped working. 2 days later they worked again, and I tried once more to use them, the buttons stopped 10 minutes after I started sweating and they've never worked again.
Search google for "motorola s9 buttons broke" and you'll find hundreds of people telling the same story. Motorola says they've never heard of such a problem, but many people have done warranty trade outs multiple times for this exact reason.
I can't take phone calls anymore with mine, but when I could the caller had a hard time hearing me unless I talked very loud. I could hear them just fine however.
thirdly, they work awesome if you're sitting at a desk, but if you try to use these while moving around, such as walking, mowing the lawn, etc the music will start to skip as the bluetooth connection struggles with fluctuating signal strength. Even sitting at my desk at work if I turn my head the wrong way the signal gets interrupted.
The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because they do sound ok when they're working.
So if you buy these, remember:
Don't use them to work out. Don't get any moisture on them whatsoever. Don't use them as a phone if you can't talk very loud to your caller. Don't move while using them. Don't look directly at them. Don't taunt them. |

| I purchased this for use with my Ipod Classic and my Blackberry Curve. Getting it to pair was the easy part. What was most problematic is that unless the Bluetooth Adapter D650 for the Ipod was within a line of sight of the headphones, the music cut in and out. Very disappointing. Even having the ipod in my front pocket while wearing the headset, I experienced problems with a steady stream of music. After 15 minutes, I decided I could live with the hassle of a corded pair of earbuds without bluetooth stream interruption! |

| So frustrating. Pair fine with BB 8820, and work for about 3 weeks. Then one of the buttons stops working, then another, then another, until the thing is only good for listening to music at full volume, without changing tracks except from the controls on the berry. You call motorola support, and they want you to call blackberry and find out the technical details of what support for bluetooth the berry has....great, I'd love to do a technical support call on your behalf! Ughhhhh........great product, but fails every time. |

"S9 Konks out after SWEAT!!!!! Choppy reception" | 2008-08-31 |

I bought S9 from Amazon. Worked great for first run with my Motorola Razr V3xx. After 45 min on full charge, music would get choppy. My phone was in my pocket. Problem got worse if phone was further out or after longer time because battery runs lower on power. So I bought cell phone arm band so phone would be closer to S9 headset. Problem was improved by 90%. Still occasional loss of music signal after 45 min of use with fully charged headset.
BIG problem. Ater second run, volume controls konked out. Also the answer button konked out. VERY annoying. After I did a review search, I found out that I wasn't alone. I requested a replacement. I think I will cancel that and get my money back and buy a corded head set. |

I purchased these headphones in spite of several reviewers stating that there were issues with the controls. I found that the down volume control ceased to function after only 2 weeks of fairly sweaty use (5k/day). I found that Motorola was less than helpful when I requested a replacement device. On the plus-side, the headphones are incredibly comfortable and convenient. I just expected them to operate reliably for a longer time (even with the sweaty conditions I subjected them to). |

I love these headphones for working out. I don't love the fact that I have destroyed 2 of them already.
It took some doing to get them to pair with my computer due to my Vista 64 OS and getting the right WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack.
After about 3 weeks, the controls start tweaking out, the fast-forward and rewind activate even when not pushed; after about 4-5 weeks, the audio starts to decrease even with the volume maxed out. I work out for 2-3 hours, 5-6 days per week and I think this is causing the moisture to penetrate the electronics. This is the 2nd pair that has followed the same timeline.

| These were purchased for the purpose of exercising in, which I'm sure is the reason most people purchase them. They're pretty pricey and are great until...you sweat! Then the volume stops working right, among other things. So my suggestion for any future purchaser would be, PLEASE don't waste your money unless you intend on keeping them 100 percent dry ALL the time. |

I bought these because they were the highest rated Bluetooth headphones on CNET and a few other electronics sites, but they fall short of my expectations. I'm pairing mine with a Motorola RAZR V3xx phone so there should be no compatibility issues. If this is the best available I would wait for the next generation before I would consider buying any Bluetooth headphones
The Good:
* Sound quality and range are excellent.
* They are light weight
* Battery life
The bad:
* They fit don't well. All the reviews said people with big heads have problems, but I have a average to small size head and they didn't fit me well either.
The Ugly:
* It is impossible to resume play after receiving a call, pausing on the handset (pausing on the headphone control works), and sometimes after last song in playlist is played. In all of these situations the sound cuts out erratically until I turn off the headphones, turn them back on, and allow them to reconnect to the handset. I thought my headphones were broken, but Motorola person I called said this behavior was normal.
