| The summary: lighter than the regular Bjorn; easy to put on; comfortable.br /My baby really likes this. I used the regular Bjorn until she was 5 months old but found she was getting overheated. I bought this and she liked it just as much as she liked the old Bjorn, but she didn't get so hot (and neither did I). br /But because it's lighter weight, it's also less stiff so it's a little harder to put your baby in - the sides flop around so you have to basically hold it around your baby like a blanket until she's fastened in (with the regular Bjorn, you can snap one side and your baby is already pretty secure). So I felt nervous the first couple times I used it, but now I'm very comfortable with it and like the lighter feel and greater flexibility.br /I also have tried the ErgoBaby, but I like this because my baby can sit in it - facing front or back - and she can keep her legs fairly close together. In the ErgoBaby, she has to spread her legs to sit in it, which I worry is bad for her hip joints. br /I've tried the Mobi too, and find that too hard to keep fastened tightly enough to keep my baby in a safe, secure position.br /Overall, I find this easy to use, and my baby really likes it - so everyone is happy! |

"Great Product" | 2008-06-20 |

We have a 6 month old son and we have been using this carrier since he was a week old. I think this is a great product. I tried a Moby wrap sling and Infantino side carrier and Infantino 6-in-1 carrier and they just can not compare to BabyBjorn. It's so easy to put on! The fabric is soft enough for the baby, but hard enough so you can adjust the straps every timie you want it. We adjust a lot, because 3 people in the household use it and we all are of different built. We use it at least twice a day when walking our dog.
It is easy on my back as compared to the ones I mentioned above. I can not compare with a classic BabyBjorn though, but we bought this one becuase of Amazon reviews.
I would recommend to buy BabyBjorn bibs for the time when your baby starts riding face out and chewing on the front flap. But even if you don't the carrier is easy washable. |

| Great color, but not too much. Very well made, I would used it all the time if my babies were not unusually large. I did use it a ton up until my baby reached 20lbs at 6 months and it was great, still looks brand new, I recommend this to every new mother I talk to! |

| I have scoliosis and so I really needed to make sure I had a good baby carrier to make sure I don't do further damage to my back. I had previously read reviews about the lumbar support for this carrier so that's why I bought it. So far, it's been pretty good. I can carry my 16-lbs baby for 2 hours pretty comfortably (still a bit sore on the shoulders afterwards, but it's not bad). The only thing I worry about is that the materials is pretty thick and it can probably get pretty hot. My baby hasn't complained yet though. I might recommend that you look into the newer Baby Bjorn Synergy which is suppose to be lightweight AND provides back support. But, if you like the Active carrier, Amazon really has the BEST price for this item! |

"Bjorn = overrated. Buy the ERGO instead." | 2008-06-06 |

My friend bought this product and she let me borrow it. My back started aching from the time I put it on. Given how uncomfortable and uninspired the design is, I don't understand why the Baby Bjorn carrier costs so much and why it is so popular. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on the Baby Bjorn!
For the same price range you can get a lot more quality with the Ergo Baby Carrier. The ERGO carrier has thicker shoulder strap padding than any of the other carriers (especially when compared to the Bjorn.) which really enhances the comfort. As a Physical Therapist, I'm very concerned with saving my back. The ERGO carrier effectively transfers the baby's weight off your back/shdrs and onto your hips with a thick padded hip belt similar to an actual backpack.
My husband and I have a 3 month old who started riding in the ERGO at 3 days old and we all 3 love using the ERGO. It is WONDERFUL for hands-free shopping and convenient for all sorts of day-trips. Unlike other carriers which might have a small pocket for keys, the ERGO carrier has a generous built-in zipper pouch which fits a wallet, keys, babywipes, a couple diapers, etc. It also has a built-in sun shade.
The ERGO really proved invaluable on our 5-flight, 2-week "baby tour" to see the in-laws. No fumbling around awkwardly, the ERGO was so easy to get off while going through airport security and simple to get back on again quickly. I even discreetly nursed him in the ERGO while walking through the airport (gently assisting him with one hand and pulling a roller bag with the other.) Despite recent "improvements" to the Baby Bjorn, there is no comparison with the ERGO carrier on comfort, backpain prevention and versatility! |

"A must for my back" | 2008-06-04 |

| I tried many different slings which are much easier than this for nursing, but after my son was about 2 months old he would no longer tolerate a sling. I find this very difficult to Breast Feed in unless you drop the height way too low and feed the baby sitting up (good for ear infections). Despite that fact this has been a life saver on family outings. At 4 months old I carried my son in this for the better part of 4 full days at Walt Disney World and on many other family outings. He sleeps great in it facing me and I can put him in it asleep and take him out w/o waking him. It was a bit too hot for him in humid weather. If I didn't own this already I might consider the Synergy but that price tag is still too steep. I bought the cover for it for cooler weather and love it. It is a great wind breaker, and keeps me from loosing his socks. When not in use I wrap the carrier in the cover for neater storage. My son is current 16 pds, I am 5'2" and I have no trouble carrying him in this for 4+ hrs at a time. My husband has a beer belly and he can not strap this over his gut. |
