| I bought this sling to assist me in carrying my 22lb 7month old when I had to take my other son to school. I needed to have a free hand and this sling allows me to have 1 and 1/2 free hands. My 7month old is very squirmy so I almost always keep a hand on him for safety reasons. It is very easy to put on if you watch the video and after about a week of using it took me less than a minute to get him in it in the hip carry position. I wish I had found this product earlier when I could have used the other carry positions. It takes a little while to find the most comfortable way to put the fabric over your shoulder , but once I did it does not hurt my back or my shoulder and my back feels much better than when I carry him without the sling. |

I saw these slings at Target and found them comparable to sling type carriers I had seen in baby boutiques for $20 to $60 more. After I ordered it from amazon.com, I found myself wishing I had ordered it sooner! It has been the carrier that I use the most! I have a Baby Bjorn as well, which does get used, but this sling folds up small enough to stash in a pocket of a diaper bag, so I always have it with me. It comes with an instructional DVD on the various carrying positions which is very helpful. I have a large baby (almost 16 lbs at 2.5 months old) so he no longer fits the cradle hold and barely fits in the modified cradle hold (sitting upright facing slightly forward against your side) but I find the side carry extremely helpful for nursing on the go. I just wear a nursing top, put him in the side carry, throw a nursing cover over the top and I've been able to walk around the mall while feeding my baby discreetly. (By the way, you can purchase nursing covers for $30 but if you know how to sew, just look up a tutorial online for how to make one and do it yourself, they're super easy to make.) The custom sizing on this makes for a comfy fit and the print is super vibrant and goes really nicely with most of my clothing. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it everywhere I go. If your baby likes it, it is worth the cash. |

I LOVE this sling. I have three baby carriers: a moby wrap, a Baby Bjorn and this hotsling. My baby is 5 weeks old and loves to be carried around which is difficult as I also have a demanding 2.5 year old. I love wearing the hotsling around the house it is super comfortable for my son and myself. He almost always falls asleep in it! The Baby Bjorn is great for being out and about as it feels more secure for him than the hotsling, but it's certainly not as comfortable. The moby wrap is very comfortable however it is complicated and he just doesn't seem to like it as well, he's super fussy in it. So by far the hotsling is my favorite out of all of my baby carriers - it's comfortable, fashionable, versatile super easy to use and my son loves it!
It was a great purchase and I wish I had bought one weeks ago! |

I didn't find this baby product that useful, and I don't feel that I have gotten my money's worth. This product is expensive, for just a piece of cloth sewn together in a simple wrap I feel that it should be $20-$30 not $50+. I saw this product in a couple of stores before my son was born and I had someone show me how to put it on. However, when I had my son, I found it difficult to use with a real baby, even with all the nice video and graphic instructions it comes with. It wasn't until he was 2-3 weeks old that I made it out of the house and back to the store so they could show me how to use the product with my son in it. After that point, I could get him in there in a comfortable position. But I didn't find it that helpful, at least not on a daily basis! Once your child gets heavy, above 10 lbs perhaps, I don't think this sling is that useful. I had difficulty doing housework with my son in the sling,it caused me back pain, and found it easier just to spend my time either holding him or putting him down and doing housework.
I just tried this sling again recently (now my son is 3 1/2 months old and pretty big) and did not find it helpful at all. My son is too big for the cradle position, and too heavy to be carried around in a shoulder-type sling comfortably.
Overall, I thought I would use this product much more than I did. It is only practical when your baby is tiny, I think. I will try to use it again with my next child, right after they are born. Maybe I will have a girl and much smaller baby. And I think at least for my next child I won't be as intimated and I will be able to use it right after I bring them home from the hospital. |

| Very nice product. If you fall between sizes, go up a size. I am on the border between 2 & 3 and the 3 works great. I think the 2 would have been uncomfortable for the baby. Also the pattern is wonderful, it doubles as entertainment for my baby as her vision develops. I can just hang it near her and she loves to look at the black and white pattern. |

| I bought this when my son was just under 2 months old. He would cry alot. I couldn't go anywhere because he refused to ride in the stroller and would want to be held constantly. I have three other children and am always on the go. I bought this the week I had several events to attend. I'd put him in the sling and he would calm down and go right to sleep. It is perfect. He loves it and so do I. It is very lightweight and easy to pack. I live in Florida, so the limited fabric is wonderful. This is a great purchase. I use it everyday. |

My baby boy constantly wanted to be held up until about 3 months of age. I tried using a Moby sling; this worked great at home but was a pain to take off and put on when we were out.
I also has a baby Bjorn but my little boy wasn't comfortable in that and would cry when we put him in there. He also had trouble sleeping in the Baby Bjorn.
Finally I did some research on baby wearing and came across the Hotsling. This is a great product. When my son was little I wore him on my front and he could either sleep in it or sit up in it. The Hotsling takes 2 seconds to put on and is very easy to get your baby in and out of. This sling also rolls up very small and I always care one in my purse now. It is also very reasonably priced for a sling.
As my boy gets older (now 9 months) this sling is still great because I could sit him on my hip in it. It provides enough support that my hands are free but allows him some movement. I used it while riding the bus; my son can sit down on my lap or stand up and bounce on my lap while in the sling and I can hold onto my purse and the railing.
I have two of these now. This is my second one. I needed a smaller size after losing the pre-pregnancy weight. The pattern of this one is very tasteful, goes with lots of cloths, and can be either dressy or casual.
I just can't rave enough about this sling. |
