Editorial ReviewWith a true-to-life cockpit design, the red Playseats classic gaming seat puts you smack dab in the middle of your favorite racing game. The seat works with most racing titles and game systems, including the Xbox 360, GameCube, PlayStation, PlayStation2, and PCs. More importantly, the chair is notably comfortable while delivering the most realistic racing simulation around. Just install a game steering wheel on the middle pole and attach a couple of pedals along the bottom (all sold separately). The setup is easily adaptable, with three adjustment knobs letting you move the wheel and pedals closer or farther, depending on your height. And thanks to the high-quality steel construction, you needn't worry about the gaming seat falling apart after just a few short months. Appropriate for ages 8 and older, the seat is the perfect accessory for gamers who want to boost their lap times in style. Product DescriptionThe steel constructed USA Classic Playseat is recommended for ages 8 and up and features a seat that adjusts in height, length and depth. Here is what people are saying about the Playseats Classic Gaming Seat (Red)
"classic, inexpensive, semi-comfortable" | 2009-11-10 |

| I enjoy my playseat classic after figuring out how to fasten my logitec g25 pedals and wheel to it securely. I ordered the shifter mount and it required me to drill a hole into the side but works great now. The optional seat slider is nice but a pain to put together. I haven't played for longer than a few hours, the seat itself is pretty comfortable but not like a car seat. I store it in 2 sections behind my couch. Its light enough to lift, and easily connected back together. I do recommend this product and the others I've mentioned. |

"I think it works fine with no issue's" | 2009-10-29 |

| We bought 2 of these chairs, I think they work fine, they are pretty stable, everything mounts fine and stays put. The chairs after 3 hours of racing still feel comfortable. I think for the price they are worth it. |

"Great if you are setup correctly" | 2009-10-13 |

There are a few pitfalls with the classic version of this model that have been fixed on the evolution version, but I don think the price is worth it.
This is probably the cheapest seat out there price wise. I am quite tall 6ft3inches and had some trouble with long hours as the back was not supported in the right places.
I used the in built seat cushion to convert it into a lumbar support.
No more back aches after that.
There is also a slight documentation issue with the setup of the seat. connecting the Pedals to the actual set is done through a bar.
I often found this to be slipping hwile driving until I found that the manufacturer has given screws for fitting the rest of the Seat but a different system that requires a screwdriver to turn a socket which fits the pedals base to the seat tightly.
Did not have any issue with that. This is not documented in the manual and got me frustrated very quickly.
The front forks are also not too long hence the steering column can move/tilt a little during intense play
I fixed that by attaching a plywood sheet to the bottom.
All in all a satisfactory product for the price you are paying.

"Needs adjustments" | 2009-09-12 |
| - Reviewed By User: A2QPBA93ZU0BWJ |
| Loved the seat and the control section but it needs to have a better system for locking in control section. I am an adult of average size and the screw clamp just doesn't lock it in. As I apply pressure to the foot controls it slowly moves them away from me. I am going to drill some holes and use pins to keep it in place so that I can have some adjustment. As for the small cross piece would recommend it be wider and studier to keep it from moving. I will be adding something to it to strengthen it. That said with my few modifications it works great. I have 50 inch plasma that is right at eye level when I use the seat and it puts you right into the game. |

"Good setup for the cost" | 2009-05-03 |

Good quality racing seat for the cost. Seat is large enough to easily fit a 6", 200 lbs person. It does, however, lack full lower back support for those extended play sessions. Nothing an extra piece of foam or pillow can not fix.
The frame is flexible but still well constructed with plenty of adjustments for player size and reach preference. While it is easy to break it down into two smaller pieces for storage, the seat/frame combination will take up a pretty good chunk of real estate in your room.
I had purchased many "real" racing seats before for costs far higher than this complete seat/frame combination. I definitely recommend this setup for any player. |

"Far from perfect but workable." | 2009-04-10 |

When I recieved the gamechair I found out a few flaws that I wish I would have known in advance. I can take care of them but its going to take modification that I feel shouldnt be needed in the first place.
1. This chair doesnt fit the G25 racing wheel's foot pedals from logitech. The base is to short and I will have to add another suppport board underneath to stabilize it. 2.The wheel height adjustment doesnt go "down" very far and feels like its to high. But this might be just me and my preferences. Still I am 6' and feel it should be able to lower more for shorter people. 3. The steering column feels unstable. I think there should be more support for a steering wheel that is going to be putting up with alot of side forces. Overall its not a bad gaming chair but I certainly would of returned it if I had to pay the full price($300). But since it was 33% off I will just modify it to my preferences. |
