I really like my Audio-Technica earphones. The silence is great! I use them in my home office to tune out the family and on planes to tune out other families:-) I recommend them.

These headphone are very comfortable, although the noise cancellation feature is not as good as I had anticipated. Still, they provide excellent sound quality and superior ear comfort at a reasonable price. Plus, they come with a handy carrying case.

These are good headphones that fold up into a compact case but they were a much better value when I bought them on Amazon in January 2009 for $90 (new). Looks like somebody is getting a little greedy!
"Great headphones, 2 years and still going strong."

I've been exceedingly pleased with these headphones. They are fantastic, and I can't say enough good things about them. I have had them for 2 years now, and have had no problems. The sound quality is unlike anything I've ever owned before. I know that a lot of people have had trouble with durability, but I've had no problems. They are like anything you pay $150 for. You need to take care of them. They come with a great carrying case, and that's where they stay when I'm not using them. The noise canceling is great. Both the active canceling and the nature of over-ear headphones combine to make a peaceful listening environment. I have taken multiple trips across the country and these are exceptionally comfortable. I recommend these headphones to anyone who loves music. You will hear things in your favorite songs that you've never heard before.
In addition to these headphones, I would recommend the Ultimate Ears MetroFi 170 Noise Isolating Earphones for your in-ear set. You can see my review on their page. Suffice it to say that I am as happy with them as I am with these.
I've tried several different noise-cancelling and isolation headphones to use with my Roland TD-12s V-drum set; brands like Sony, Sennheiser, Vic Firth, Bose, Dr Dre Beats... but none have the performance of the ATs. I used to use a fairly cheap set of Logitech n-c headphones and was happy with the how they performed with the V-drums... but the left earphone crapped out. After a few months of research and returns I found these and am very happy. I haven't tried them with much else... they are pretty much reserved for my Roland set so I can't comment on general music listening with these. They are also very comfortable. The only thing I could wish for is a longer/sturdier cable. I'm considering buying another set in case they decide to discontinue these any time soon.

Be sure to use the carrying case! I put them in my laptop case and, after a few years (beyond the guarantee, to be sure), the yoke for one of the earphones broke. so be careful.
