| I returned the item. It wasn't what I had expected. This is the industrial model. The head doesn't tilt backward, its heavy a lot taller than a standard house mixer. I didn't like the fact that the bowl raised to meet the beater. I found it very hard to remove the bowl as well as the beater itself. The bowl capacity is no larger than that of the Artisan (which I replaced this item with). |

I have a Kitchen Aid Mixer of my own and when my sister-in-law was getting married. I wanted to purchase one for her as well. We found a great deal on Amazon, but the package came damaged. The mixer was not transported in a separate box, but in the factory box it came in. There were postal labels slapped all over the box and a hole on one side. I was very upset since I was planning on giving the mixer as a gift. Luckily, the mixer was not damaged. We still gave her the mixer as a gift with the caveat of the mixer was fine even though the box was a mess. That's way I gave the product 4 stars and I gave the vendor 2 out of 5 stars.
One thing to note even though the mixer description says black, it's not a glossy black but more of a matte black, which really looks more like a charcoal grey. The stand also uses a lever to lift the mixing bowl up and down. This is different than mine where the top of the mixer retracts up.

| i think i have researched for more then a year to find a perfect stand mixer.i am cooking and baking a lot so i needed a really good one.i am very happy with this one.the dough for bread comes out unbeliveble!i have also purchased the ice cream atachament.we made delicous ice creams!you won't be sorry if you buy one!i promise! |

I think that I probably waited 5 years before buying this mixer... I never really considered the mixer to be a reasonable expense... It's been on the counter for several months now and I use it quite regularly... I initially was afraid that I wouldn't want to break out the big guns for small batches, but it has really made a difference... I cook at home more often just so that I have a chance to use it!
Mashed potatoes have never been so smooth! Cake and brownie batters are quick enough to whip up that I bring a batch whenever I'm out visiting friends... I make most of my recipes from scratch, but even standard "mixes" from the store are better when I use the KitchenAid to prepare the batter...
Overall one of the best purchases I have ever made! |

| I love this mixer. I just started recently baking and this mixer makes things so much easier and quicker. The price that I bought it for couldn't be beat,although I see that it has increased substantially now. Only thing I don't like is the narrow bowl. Other than that, I'm more that satisfied. |

| I didn't think I'd like the bowl lift, but I couldn't justify getting the artisan when the price on this one was so low. I'm so glad I went with the bowl lift. I've never used the tilt head, so I don't know the difference, but this mixer is amazing. I love that I can just add the ingedients, turn it on, and its mixed. Its perfect. The bowl lift is so easy, I don't have to fight with anything to get the bowl out of the stand. Fantastic machine. |

| Very sturdy construction, smooth operation and does the toughest mixing for home needs. I am quite satisfied with the quality and would recommend to buy. I was lucky to get a great deal but at the price quoted it is worth it. |

| I have had my kitchenaid stand mixer for only about 4 months now, but i love it. i probably use it once a week. it makes the best mashed potatoes :). i really like the bowl lift because it fits neatly on my counter under my cabinets and i don't have to move it to use it. amazon had such a great deal on them, i had to get my mom one too! have fun experimenting with different recipes! |
