"Loved it"

I say "loved it" because my friend dropped it on Halloween. I took great pics on land and underwater (in the Canon housing), and did excellent macro. My only complaint is that after a couple years some pixels started dying in the LCD screen. Could have replaced the screen if my friend didn't total it- oh well.

Good all-around camera, though obsolete. Re-purchased due to theft and to fit in an existing underwater housing.

"Wide Angle"

I am a total amateur and had never owned a point and shoot before. I read a lot of reviews before buying this camera in August 2008. I could not understand why the wide angle would be helpful to me, but trusted that everyone knew what they were talking about. Bought it, used it and liked everything. Then, at work, I used a cheaper point at shoot without a wide angle lens. it was frustrating trying to get everything in the photo without being too far away from the subject. The wide angle is indespensible. Can't recommend this camera enough.
"Great Camera with surprising bonus feature for Youtubers (audio/video)"

Hi, I see that there are 400+ reviews of this camera so I thought I'll try not to repeat the same comments. I have found a unique strength of this camera that I think is worth sharing (although admittedly it may only appeal to small subsection of users). First of all, I bought the camera initially for the birth of my daughter 18 months ago and have been astonished at it's functionality as a point and shoot camera. I have taken 1000's (literally) of pix of the baby growing throughout the past year and a half. Inside, outside, low light, bright light it shines over the 10 mp kodak that it has replaced. I don't really print the pictures, I primarily view them via our plasma and lcd tv's and let me tell you at looking at pictures in 1080p on 40" screen is the true acid test of a good camera.
However, I got the greatest surprise when I happened to bring this camera to see some live music and decided to fire up the video. The video is adequate (not stellar) but I have found that the audio recording capability is pretty amazing. I typically see indie bands playing at high volume in small clubs - this camera has yet be defeated with any sort of audio overload. I'm a youtuber so I sometimes check other video's from ytube before going to a show and have found that where other video cameras fail, this one shines. People comment frequently about the audio and ask how/why there is no overload like other vids of the same band (or even from the same show). You can check it out at my Youtube channel here: [...] (although be warned that some of the music is a bit ah, unique, extreme and may not be to everyone's taste) Black Dice, Mogwai and the Crystal Method where at especially high volumes and most people there actually wore earplugs. Anyhow, I've had great luck with this camera and would highly recommend it as a point and shoot or for great video/audio. I also wanted to mention that it was only $300 a year and a half ago when I bought it - not sure what gives with the excessive price tag now?
"I love this camera!"

After owning this camera, I will never go back to a camera that does not have a wide angle lens. I seriously had been looking for a camera like this for as long as I can remember. I love taking panoramic shots of historic buildings or natural scenery, and I could never fit everything into my pictures. You will be amazed at how much you can fit into one picture, even when standing close up to your subject.
The picture quality is great for a pocket camera and I love the special features it has (like making everything black and white except for one color). Everyone always envies my camera, and I think it is far superior to almost all other pocket digital cameras that I have seen including many of Canon's newer models that I have seen.
One of my biggest complaints with other digital cameras is the amount of blurry pictures that you discover when loading them onto your computer. So far I have had no blurry surprises, thanks to the camera stabilizer feature... also the LCD is so big and bright that you have a really good idea of what the picture will look like when blown up. And you can even view pictures on the LCD in direct sunlight with quite a lot of clarity.
One more word of praise, you can turn on the camera and take a picture so incredibly fast that you will never have to worry about missing a "Kodak moment" again. Battery life is great, and picture reload time is also fast.
Alright I'm searching for cons: I wish that there were more picture modes though... like there is no nature or sunset mode.
