My Toro 51599 just arrived today (sooner than expected, yay!) and for the last 3 1/2 hours it's been cleaning up part of the yard where I can't effectivly mow the leaves. I am surrounded by old trees and have a huge yard, so this machine will have plenty to do. I was very impressed with its power and effectiveness! The leaves were dry but not all were withered yet. I used it as a blower to create some big piles to make sure there weren't any large twigs in the mess. When it did suck up ones that I was a little concerned about, it never faltered. I got braver and vacuumed an ivy bed without pre-inspecting it. It encountered some old damp leaves under the newer ones and handled all the material, including twigs, very well. Switching from blower to vacuum is easy. The bag holds just enough to not be unmanageable for me. I like that it is quieter than my other old blower and the vacuum feature with metal impeller makes it a real winner.

The vac works great and with free shipping was actually cheaper than Home Depot by $10.00. How can you beat that. Saves a lot of bending over when you are picking up leaves.

This works great for everything. The only thing I wish is that the bag was bigger. There are attachments for larger ones which you might consider if you have a lot of leaves and stuff. The only other thing is don't use it with wet leaves because it isn't as effective and the bag will get wet in turn making you leg wet. Over all great product and very satisfied.

I used it for the 1st time last week blowing leaves and it worked great. Did the work in less than half the time of my old blower. I was amazed and very pleased.

Having a metal impeller makes all the difference in the world! I've had both gas & electric blower/vacs with plastic impellers and the impellers have not lasted even one fall season. I always replaced the impeller at least once a season. The fact that I don't have to deal with gas & oil makes this electric model even easier to use.

Very powerful blower, cleared leaves, sand, and even small rocks off of my driveway in no time.

The vacumn function works quite well. Emptying the attached bag into a paper lawn waste bag can be tedious, but that is related more to trash pick up rules in my town than a design flaw in this product. If you have accessible power outlets around your yard this is a perfect tool for dealing with fall yardwork.
