"Very nice swing-out mount" | 2008-08-18 |

I ordered this mount for a Panasonic 42" Plasma TH-42PX25 which I wanted to hang in some custom built cabinets. At the time I was going to order this mount, the Premier Mount website did not list my particular Panasonic model number as one that this model supported. I called Premier Mounts and their Customer Support person was extremely helpful. He called me back about 30 minutes later and indicated that my Panasonic model was supported. Since then, their website reflects the above model number as one that can be used by this mount.
This mount was installed by an Audio Visual person so I don't know how difficult it was to install. BUT, it works wonderfully. When we want to watch TV in the living room, we just swing the TV out to view it from our couch. When I want to watch TV from the kitchen, I just move it back into the cabinet. The arm moves very easily. When the TV is off, I just push the TV into the cabinet.
I ordered it in silver to go with the Panasonic plasma. I would order this mount again when I decide to get a larger TV. |

| The Premier Mount AM3 Universal TV Mount could handle a 250 pound man doing chin ups - no joke! It absolutely takes two to install - invite a strong friend over for pizza rather than attempting on your own. Very pleased with the quality, look and functionality of the mount. Adjustable tension and ability to level a big plus. Highly recommend this mount - feel my TV is in good hands - even in earthquake country. The wall would have to come down for the TV to fall. |

| This thing is a behemoth! It weighs nearly as much as the 42" plasma TV that I hung on it. Having never hung a TV before, I was pretty skeptical that the wall would support this much weight. I was going to hire somebody to put it in, but I looked at the instructions, and they were very clear. Installation was a breeze, provided you have a helper with all that weight. It looks and feels very sturdy on the wall even at its full extension. It may cost a pretty penny, but its worth every one. This will last you longer than any TV you put on it. |

"AM3 is really a great product" | 2008-05-09 |

This Premier Mount AM3 is very well built, and the best looking articulating TV mount on the market. This mount does everything. It is even a great conversation piece. My 58 inch plasma weighing 123 pounds is easy to position in any direction I choose. I found tension adjustments to make moving positions easy. Very sturdy and strong system! The price is very reasonable! All in all, this is a great mount. Would not even give a thought to buying any other mount. I made sure the lag screws used to hold the 60 lb mount and the 123 lb plasma WERE CENTERED IN THE STUDS! Need to be sure these thick lag screws are in the center of the studs. Much leverage on the screws when the mount is extended out 100%. Otherwise all mounting was easy. The mount is designed so the stud spacing does not need be "16 inch on center", very nice, lots and lots of give and take room for mounting on any spacing of studs. My Panasonic was an easy fit on the mount. This is a well designed system. They supply huge amounts of bolts and other hardware for just about any TV. I am keeping the hundreds of extra pieces for future tvs I may want to install on this mount. Hats off to Premier Mounts! |

"Mounting bolts failed" | 2008-04-28 |

| The product is very good and I would recommend it. However, when I installed the provided mounting bolts in 2x4's the bolt heads snapped off. This was a real pain since I now had to re-measure and drill new holes. I called the company and they said they had no reported problmes and offered to send me more of the same bolts...no thanks...not interested in having my $3k TV on the floor smashed in pieces...I would recommend going to a good hardware store and getting the properly rated bolts.. |

As another reviewer stated, this is the best mount on the market for a large plasma. I put a 58 inch plasma on my first one, and it was so good that I bought a second mount for my next TV. It swings out and lets you point the TV anywhere in the room, left-and-right but the up/down orientation is fixed once you lock down the bolts.
The unit is strong, not wobbly in any manner. Highly recommended. |

"Very Good Mount" | 2008-02-29 |

The AM3 mount is solidly constructed and the price we paid on Amazon was very reasonable compared with other on-line and in-store retailers. It was simple to install and works perfectly with my Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500.
Initially, the joints were so stiff I had difficulty moving the arms... and I bench 300. It was all but impossible for my wife to budge it. I went to the Premiere Mounts web site and submitted a question about the problem and the company's customer support rep wrote back to tell me adjusting the tension was as easy as popping the plastic caps off the joints and loosening the bolts inside - a useful tip which is absent from the accompanying installation manual. The mount still feels very solid but it's now much easier to manipulate.
Really, my only complaint is the lack of detailed illustrations in the installation manual. Because the pictures in the manual were so small, we had to resort to looking at the pictures on the outside of the box to determine the proper installation of some components. I later discovered the Premier Mounts web site has better manuals you can download from their site.
I'd definitely buy it again and have already steered another customer to Amazon for a purchase.

"Premier Mount ALMOST Perfect for Flat Screen" | 2008-02-10 |
| - Reviewed By User: A119RM33IOPOOT |
| This is an impressive piece of hardware. For just a bit more than a typical, flimsy(ish) flat panel mount, this jungle-gym-strength, multi-positional swing out mount is an almost perfect product. I say almost because it has two little flaws. One, no getting around it, it's thick and almost as heavy as the TV itself. Weight doesn't really matter because it's drilled into studs, but there is no way your set is ever going to look flush or moderately close to the wall. Between the thick tubular steel and the sizable mounting system on the back of the TV, this will stick out a few inches from the wall. The second problem is that, although it can be mounted as left or right swing-out (just flip the swing-arm one way or the other before mounting), because it needs to be screwed securely into studs, there's not enough latitude for positioning of the TV on the wall. At least it's hard to get it perfectly in the position you want. It has several screw hole positions, but one of the two studs MUST be fairly close to the mount's pivot point. So, no matter how hard you try, your positioning may be off a couple of inches, so it might not be centered on the wall (with a ton more work, you can either rip up the wall, add more framing in the wall, etc., or add a 2x4 or heavy piece of plywood with added wood support over the wall, but this will bring the TV even further out). And, I couldn't even have the mount with the preferred pivot direction for my room because of this limitation of mounting into a preexisting stud. It has a multiple pivot, so my TV will turn the way I want, but I would have preferred it to swing out left instead of swing out right then pivot left as it does now. This sounds convoluted, I know, but trust me... I had to make a sacrifice to make sure it was securely and safely hung. Having said all this, this is a GREAT mount: sturdy, not bad looking, and the TV can be moved freely with no sag, creaks or strain. Also, I'm confident if I needed to swing my 42" plasma far off the wall so I could watch hi-def from the kitchen, I could. Fairly easy to install with two people and a bit of time. Well worth the price and piece of mind when hanging a $2500 piece of technology off a wall. |
