Great product. I have it set up on two laptops and also on my tower server. It runs flawlessly and quickly, much quicker than older versions. It has also picked out whatever viruses come via email, music downloads, etc. The updates are automatically and easily downloaded. I highly recommend this product to anyone using a PC.
If you don't want to pay full price, you can always buy a year old copy and use the install code to get the latest version.

NAV does everything I expect. Easy to install, even on machines that may already have a virus. I use it along with Lavasoft Adaware and I have had nothing infect my computers.

I purchased this to continue an NAV subscription for another year. I was tempted to jump to one of the other AV products, but stayed with Norton for three reasons. 1) As part of last year's subscription, NAV 2007 had already been updated to NAV 2008 and I had no problems with it. 2) Despite the lowly reviews of the recent Norton AV products, the competitive products also had their high share of one and two star reviews. 3) The 3 user version became available at Amazon at a good price with a rebate making the final cost $11. I was also pleasantly surprised when the rebate debit card was in yesterday's mail - only 4 weeks from the purchase date. This is the first time a rebate has arrived long before I expected it. In the past I had been frustrated with the poor Symantec rebate process and response. I am hopeful that Symantec is working to improve their products and image to get back to the high standing that pre-Symantec Norton used to hold.

I have used Norton Antivirus for a number of years and found it the best available. I usually wait until there is a discount, either online or from a local retail store. Unfortunately, the image shown on the Amazon site, when I placed my order, showed a mail-in discount on the front cover. I placed my order and was disappointed that there was no mail-in discount included. However, I was happy that I did save $10 over Norton's website price and my local retail stores.
"After problems with Microsoft and McAfee, Norton works for me."
First I tried Microsoft LiveCare... problems with installation, problems with configuration and problems with operation. Forget that nonsense!
Then I tried McAfee Total Protection 2008... great initial impression, nice functionality and usability, however the razzmafrazzin thing wouldn't register (and what good is system and virus protection if you can't get regular updates?).
I've had Norton Antivirus 2008 for 2 months now and things are smooth. Not complaints, regular updates coming from Norton, and no degradation of service. I can't speak to the quality of Norton's customer service for the simple reason that I didn't need their help. The product installed, registered with Norton and hasn't given me any problems whatsoever.
You need antivirus protection, pure and simple. And Norton Antivirus delivers ably.
