Could never fill this memory up on my Canon G9 on any outings except for that one week I was in Paris (I had to buy a spare 4GB chip there and filled that one too). Has taken full HD-quality movies without a hickup and never let me down with any loss of data integrity.

I have recently begun a journey into the world of DSLR photography, and have decided to use 4GB memory cards (for now) because it is similar in size to a DVD in storage space for archiving, aka 2nd backup copy. Fill up this card, and it fills up a DVD (+ maybe a few more to equal 4.7GB). It saves a small step rather than trying to split an 8GB or 16GB card, plus they are much less expensive. They are so light weight, and since my camera bag has pockets for multiple cards, each one has a special pocket.
Many professionals trust the Sandisk Ultra and Extreme line of cards for their work. I used to work in a retail store, and we only got returns on them because people would buy them because someone said they were good, then returned them because an off brand went on sale the week later for less. However, these Ultra II cards are cheap enough to compete with the bargain brand and still tout the Sandisk brand name. I did experience cheaper cards that stopped working for unknown reasons, most were probably user error...
My card came in a what I will call a "mini retail package". Based on the description, I thought it would arrive in just a static bag and plastic case, but I was surprised to find it in a simplified package similar to what Costco uses for their (2)4GB Sandisk Ultra II pack. My purchase was from Blueproton which arrived in just 3 business days from ordering even though I chose the cheapest shipping method.
I wish I could run lab quality tests that show the actual transfer speed vs advertised speed, but the results would vary too much on your own personal reader and computer at home. I can say that these allow my D90 camera to run at the advertised max shooting speed of 4.5fps, which is good enough for me. I also have a Sandisk Extreme III and have yet to notice a difference besides the price.
