| Great game. A lot of fun. Follow the arrows on the screen. Sounds easy, until you give it a try. Take turns having fun or watching your friends and family try to keep up. We purchased an additional mat, that's even more fun, because you can do it together at the same time with options for challenging each other or other fun things with another person. |

| This game is great! It's got lively music, fun colors and sets and is addicting! It's got several different modes that enable to you play against the computer or a partner or with a partner, so that together you can beat more difficult stages. The score rating is a bit harsh and inconsistent the higher you get into it, but it's fun to play, so that doesn't really matter!It's a great party game (when you purchase additional dance pads) or can be played for enjoyment on your own! Overall, it's an awesome game and won't disappoint!! |

For us older generation, it takes a bit to learn. But it is a lot of fun. I'm a bit disappointed that when you set the timer for workout mode that you have to pause so long between songs and choose another song. It would be better if I could just keep going, non-stop, for the 15 minutes (or whatever time is selected). The pauses ruin the "workout".

| This game is a blast! It challenges all levels of "dancers" and even has a setting that lets two people work together to achieve a higher score. The music selection is fairly broad, however, there are a few songs that you feel the urge to skip over. Another cool feature of the game is that it has a workout mode that will keep track of how many calories you burn while playing! Some of the battle levels are frustrating as the scoring isn't always consistent, but overall it's a great game and is even more fun when you play with others! |

DDR Hottest Party for Wii is my first DDR experience (mostly because the Wii is the first game console I've owned since Intellevision!). Now that I've really gotten into the game, and looked through other forums on DDR, it appears that DDR Hottest Party is a fairly "light" game compared to other DDR titles. I only have my experience with the Hottest Party for Wii to go by, though.
I only have a few things to say about this game -
1) You can easily turn all of the annoying features off; The "gimmicks" can be replaced by regular foot markers, the freeze steps (where you have to stay on a particular arrow for the indicated time) are turned into regular arrows, and most importantly the hand markers can be turned off. A lot of people recommend doing this when first starting out, because it simplifies things. However, bear in mind that when you turn the hand markers off, the game replaces them with foot markers. The end result is that the game becomes physically more challenging. This is a good thing to keep in mind if you're going for a harder workout (the hand markers really don't add to the exercise value of the game).
2) REPLAYABILITY. This game has only so many songs, but with all the different levels, challenges, and battles, it has a high level of replayability. I had gone through the venue mode all the way up to that demonic "Super Samurai" level, and pretty much gave up because it seemed impossible. Instead, I started using the workout mode, and worked my way up to AA's on difficult on most of the songs. Then I read somewhere that you get more dancers if you beat Super Samurai, so I went back and tried it. After all my work on Difficult, I actually managed to beat the challenge, which then shut down all the venues, gave me two more dancers, and now I get to go through the Venue play again with higher challenges and more rewards. Unless you're a DDR junkie and an old pro, this game can last you a LONG time.
3 - I also own a Wii Fit. I can tell you right now that if you're looking for a game that will give you a hard workout and get your blood pumping, don't waste your money on Wii Fit. Get DDR instead. Wii Fit is okay, but DDR is what gets my heart rate up, gets the sweat pouring, and it's FUN.
4 - Don't be put off by the songs (whether you know them or not). I am not a big fan of this kind of music, but in the context of this kind of game, it works. And hey, it also turned me on to the Scissor Sisters! ;)
5 and Lastly - Okay, look. I am a morbidly obese 35 year old. If I can do this game, YOU CAN. Seriously, did I mention I'm at AA's on most of the Difficult levels (with jumps) (including 99 Red Balloons)? And yes, it's helping me lose some weight (probably about 20 pounds since February or so), but fitness is a whole-lifestyle thing. DDR (OR Wii Fit) is not the magic bullet. But it sure is fun! |

| i bought this game as a way to excercise that would be fun and make me want to do it. i had debated which system i wanted to buy the ddr game for, and ended up choosing wii because of the song list on the box. (i played an older version of ddr and it was all songs i didnt know and i didnt like that!) i really do enjoy the songs that are on the game, but some are too slow and awkward to dance to. i also don't like the handmarkers on the game. i can't get them to work half the time so i always turn them off. the game judges WAY too hard...you can only miss one or two arrows to get an A which is annoying! also, there is no way to abort a song once it has started (if you accidentally switch your dance level you have to just let the song finish). i really like the workout mode which lets you customize which songs you would like played and it will continuously play them so you dont have to scroll and find them (it also allows you to set calorie goals!) i also like how it shows the beats per minute on the menu page so you can tell which songs are harder (generally it arranges them from easy to hard) overall i give it 4/5 stars because it is still fun even with the flaws. |

I saved up a my money to buy DDR Hottest party and boy was it a good thing to save up for. I have been a fan of DDR for about a 2 years now never owning one but playing it at the local YMCA. Now i have one of my very own, and have the best time. The best part about it is you get off your butt and burn some calories. I like switch between workout mode and grove circuit mode. I always turn the hand things off and gimmick off to make it a lot less confusing. For those of you who are complaining about the lack of Konami songs, play grove circuit mode to unlock them.
It was a realy good investment! |

| I love the work-out I get from this game. There is an actual work-out function in which you can input your stats and choose how many calories you want to burn. Then all you have to do is dance, dance and it will tell you when you accomplish your goal. I don't even realize I'm working out, it's just fun dancing to good music. My only complaint would be that there are only so many songs, and as of now, it's not possible to download more. |

| If your kids are getting fat because of too much time to be bored and to eat, give them this game. Now they are having fun while make exercises, now they are in shape. The best decision I ever take. |

The product is a bit hard for the kids to use. They are 12 and 8. Once they figure it out, it seems to be fun, but they don't use it as much as anticipated. Adults seemed to be having more fun and looking sillier than the kids. |
