I haven't watched the whole season yet, so it may redeem itself (maybe that's why they called the next 24 release Redemption). It's not to say the season isn't entertaining. The plot is just getting more and more predictable, and the thing I used to love about 24 was the unpredictability. Nevertheless, if you like 24, this is a pretty good one.

This is probably the weakest season. Writers didn't really know what to do and winged it. Story lines have all been done before. People teleport from one place to another and they don't care about real time anymore.

Every little thing that happens is going to lead to world war 3 according to the writers. Many more things but after all that is said and done this show is still exciting and gets your heart pumping. It's really starting to insult your intelligence now but damn I can't pull away during moments and the ending was great.

Oh yeah, everyone commits a felony and somehow gets no jail time. Jack commits about 20 of them during a season : P

24 has always been leave-your-brain-at-the-door entertainment with an EXTREME dependence on suspension of disbelief, but Season Six is just too much. After getting better every year for five seasons, suddenly it seems that the writers & producers of the show forgot that there are limits to what we will accept even on a show like this. Wayne Palmer has no credibility or gravitas as President. The entire plot is absurd even by 24 standards - the U.S. "has no other choice" but to hand over Jack to a terrorist in order to "save the country"? And this "terrorist" has the resources "to make sure (the US) can't try to get him back"? And of course, just like every other season, the CTU headquarters is the only government agency in the world staffed with suspiciously attractive 30-something women in key positions of authority and people who can access anything from any computer in the world protected by any security system within three seconds. Watching a season of 24 is an investment of time, more so than other shows, and after watching the first episode of season six even the biggest fans of the series will wonder if they want to stick around until the end of this one.
