I first saw this clock on a Best Buy display over their clock radios. But they don't even stock this radio!
This is a good alarm clock with lots of extra features. I like the big numbers, the brightness controls, and the personalized photos features. It doesn't seem to have a slide show feature for your pictures when you are in "clock" mode. But that's minor. |

| I've had this radio for at least 3 months and it has a lot of features and then some. Some of these features are auto-dim light, dual timers, plays divx movies,doesnt have any internal memory must use those mini usb drives or an sd card, wake up alarms ( radio, church bells,buzzer,forest,sinigng birds, and ocean wave), only has an fm radio no am, 2 small speakers on the front of the radio that put out good sound with auto tuner and 20 presets. I like that this radio has large numbers for the time and displays day, date, and month, and shows alarm time and a picture on the right. You can also change from 12h to 24 h time and you can change color of background for clock from blue, green, red, and purple. You can display the pictures in regular format or widescreen but in widescreen the images get cut off and in regular mode you get 2 bars on the sides of the photo. Even though this radio did have some feaatures that i didnt like such as picture resizing and no internal memory it was a good purchase in the end. This is the only digital photo frame that has dual alarms, a radio, has 3 sleep modes that shut off in 15,30,60,90,120 increments, and a buzzer that gradually gets so loud you can hear it from one end of the house to the other. There have been many a morning when I have woke up and thought what is the day today? This radio saves me the worry about that thankgod ! It is definately worth paying $50 or less for this radio but any more than that and you might as well buy from a seller. This is an ok radio that basically has the features that I wanted. I only gave it 4 stars becaus no internal memory for the outrageous price of almost one-hundred bucks. Most digital picture frames dont have the features that this one has thats why i bought it from a seller for $50. thanks. |

I've had this now for about two months after picking it up on clearance at a local store. I'm really happy with it.
The pros:
It looks great on my nightstand and the screen is bright and clear. Displays pictures nicely.
The digital tuner makes me really happy; it's very easy to flip from one station to the next with my eyes closed. With my old clock radio, I had to fumble around to find my glasses because I couldn't see what station I was getting without them, then try to tune up and down with the old dial and never get them in just right.
The MP3 player is nice.
USB and SD slots make it very easy to change pictures and MP3s.
The cons:
MP3 file names are truncated in the display, and it doesn't show album art.
It would be so nice to be able to connect this to my home network wirelessly.
I'd like more customization options for the clock display, like having a full screen photo with a tiny clock in the corner.
All in all, not a perfect device (hardware is excellent, software is mediocre), but still a vast improvement over the traditional alarm clock, and a lot cheaper than similar products. |

This was a gift for my husband for Father's Day. He wanted a digital radio and also a digital picture frame for his office. The kids took pictures of themselves and we had everything loaded for when we gave him the gift. It was great. It doesn't take up alot of space and can fit neally anywhere. The reception is great even when other radios didn't.

After reading the reviews and waiting for a good sale price, I decided to go ahead and buy this. I am very happy with the purchase and here's why:
1. It is extremely easy to use. I didn't have to get out the user manual to set the time, find radio stations, etc. The only time I pulled it out was to see how to use a memory card with it.
2. It's very sophisticated looking in my office.
3. The volume is easy to adjust if I need to cut the sound quickly for a phone call.
4. I scanned a bunch of my daughter's artwork to a memory card and put that in the device. Now I can have either one of her pics showing or even a slideshow of her art next to the clock.
5. Digital tuner!
6. You can adjust the brightness, so I keep my pretty low so it is not distracting, but bright enough to be able to see the time from a distance.
There are a few things, mentioned in other reviews, that I don't care for, but since I'm not staring at the thing 24-7, it really doesn't bother me that much.
1. If you take the memory card / USB drive out, the picture goes back to the default of the two people sticking their tongue out. If you are only using the memory card for this device and not sharing it with another device (ie portable MP3 player), this isn't a problem.
2. I haven't figured out how to mix/shuffle music on my memory card, but the radio has worked so well that I haven't really tried it out other than to make sure I can play music from the card.
3. It's a bit of a fingerprint magnet.
I am really happy with this purchase. Also, the seller sent it very quickly. |

Now they have a feature - Auto Dim) that will turn off the display at a specified time... You can always hit the snooze control (Repeat Alarm/Brightness Control) button to see the time in the middle of the night, but otherwise it's completely dark. (It's called the Auto Dim Timer so it can auto dim from 10pm to 6am or whatever you like)
I purchsed it for my desk, and not the bedroom, so the brightness issue wasn't a show-stopper for me... But then I discovered they fixed it and I didn't see that reported in the various review. |
