"Great for kids"

Great product for kids 7-17, and the songs are great for those who like Classic Rock. Glad I bought this, it's fun to see the kids jammin' to songs I grew up on.
"Awesome Bundle, Thank You Amazon!"

I got to admit this is one of the best deals on amazon.com. They give you Guitar Hero 3 game(all items new), a wireless guitar w/ batteries, and other stuff(stickers, designs, etc.) for only 35$. If you try and buy a wireless guitar alone it will cost you 40-70$, so a deal like this is not one to pass up if anyone is looking for a new or extra guitar(the best Guitar Hero controller IMO).
Thank you Amazon, thats one hell of a deal.

"Great game, but needs lots of juice"

If you've read any reviews for the pc version of GH then you've heard it skips and needs lots of CPU/RAM. Both are true. Even with 8 gigs of 800mhz corsair ram and a great cpu I noticed some significant skipping, but I don't blame the game, I blame the ambient tempperature. It skipped during the hottest days of the year and hasn't skipped since I took steps to keep my pc cool. If you're into rocking and not a pansy knit-pick like a lot of nerd reviewers you'll love this game. However, if you ding a game because of it's character's wardrobe or other inconsequantial 'stuff' like that I can see you having the same lame issues that reviewers have.
"Significantly less quality than newer titles"

I have been playing GH World Tour, Metallica, and Smash Hits prior to trying this game. I rented the previously mentioned titles, but purchased this one because it was less than $8 and Family Video sold all their copies.
I found this title to be quite inferior in comparison. The songs sound terrible. The vocals are drowned out and the guitar sounds like a midi recreation rather than the original. It was also much pickier about hitting notes, sometimes even when you're dead on. I had to turn down the "FX" volume because when you miss a note the nasty twang kills the music. Combined with bs misses, it gets frustrating quickly. My recommendation is to try one of the newer GH's.
If your just looking to kick back and push colored buttons while a song plays in the background, then this is for you, but don't be impressed with yourself like you learned to play the real thing. Otherwise, if you want real reward, learn to play the song on a real guitar. A harmony guitar and a small amp will cost you maybe thirty to sixty bucks more. Guitar Hero would interest me if it had six buttons on each fret, and the buttons were relevant to the songs, it would be hard, but they could have lessons that baby-stepped you up to unlocking the songs, that would be a good idea. Nothing as rewarding as being able to play the real thing, especially when you get into coming up with your own music. Then your a real guitar hero, not someone fast at matching colored buttons to colors on a screen that have no relevence to the song what so ever.
