My daughter got this toy for Christmas when she was 14 months old. She loves music and dancing so we thought she would enjoy it. She loved it from the first minute she saw it. This toy gets played with almost every single day. She turned 2 last month and it's still one of her favorite toys. She knows what songs it sings now and plays along with "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" and "If You're Happy and You Know It". The toy plays different songs, has a mirror, lights up and can be controlled with the instruments or the microphone. It also shuts off by itself, has a volume control and the wide legs prevent tipping even when a child pulls up on it. Great toy!

My daughter loves this toy. It's sturdy, fun and keeps her happy and occupied. She looks like the kids in the commercial. It's quite funny. She is 8 months old and the rattle microphone is a wonderful addition.

I was skeptical when I ordered this toy. I'd seen it advertised, and it struck me as just another toy to play annoying songs. I actually try to avoid battery-powered toys as much as possible. However, I wanted a toy that my 10 month old son could play with in the kitchen while I cook/clean/etc.
The stage came today, and as is written in the amazon description/editorial off the toy, the legs are a pain to put on, mainly because I couldn't get the screws to go all the way in. I am satisfied, however, that they are in good enough for the toy to be sturdy and not a hazard of any sort.
After I put the toy together, I let my son have a go at it, and oh my gosh, he was in heaven. The voice that scat sings is the voice of a child, and while it isn't necessarily music to my ears, my little boy laughed his head off. He loves the mirror and the lights. He loves the music. He preferred the mode where he can hit and make the sounds rather than the songs just playing for him. And that was fine by me because I was able to clean the kitchen up while he laughed and played. I even stopped what I was doing to grab the video camera because he was having such a big time. Even more importantly, I put him down late for his nap because he was having such a big time. Trust me, I am schedule-bound, so a late nap is huge.
The only critique I have of the toy (other than the previously mentioned leg attachment issue) is that I wish the feet had some sort of non-sliding surface. We have linoleum in our kitchen, and the stage kept sliding away from him. I put it against the wall/cabinets, and that helped. I'll attach some non-slip stuff of some sort to the feet, but it would be nice if Fisher Price would do this as well. More and more people seem to have hardwood floors, so I would think it would be beneficial to many.
If I had it to do over again, I would definitely buy this toy again. It really was one of the biggest hits I've gotten him, and believe me, I've put some money into toys over the past few months. I think this toy will definitely be worth the $40 it costs here. |

I agree with the majority of reviewers on here -- this is loads of fun for my 8.5 month old son! He loves the lights, the mirror, hitting the buttons -- and then bounces to the music. Only downsides are when he tries to push on it he slides it; I'll have to find someting stickier to put it on.

We bought this for our daughter for her first birthday, and from that day on she has loved it. She plays with it several times each day, and especially loves to kiss herself in the mirror. It plays 5 songs, and is interactive with the "instruments", but the best part, it's very durable. My daughter is pulling herself up to stand on everything, and this is very sturdy. It really is a great toy that is sure to entertain!

My infant and 2 year old both love this toy. The only complaint is that my baby, who was 7 months old when we got this, wasn't tall enough to see herself in the mirror. She could sit up on her own but she is on the small side so she couldn't quite see the buttons or herself very well. To fix this, I put her in her Bumbo chair and put her in front of it. Other than that, I totally suggest it, especially for parents looking for a toy for more than one age group. My baby slams on the buttons and looks at herself and my toddler sings into the microphone and pushes the buttons in order to hear the music.

I bought this for my son when he was 6 1/2 months old. He loved it from day one. He loves to look in the mirror and push all the buttons and pulls. The music gets stuck in my head, but at least there is more than 1 song to listen to, like other toys. I bought this based on the reviews from other buyers and I have not been disappointed.
