Works great. I have it sitting on the desk near the computer. I already own the larger version, and the smaller one is just as good as its big brother.

At frist these worked GREAT however over time and even after they were cleaned it would smell like metal in the rooms. It did not smell fresh at all or clean anymore. Don't get me wrong it does what it says it does. However it just smelled weird as heck.

I bought two of these last year(6/08). I cleaned them per instructions. Only one is still working. They were great while they worked, but I will not buy another one. I agree with another review: the car ones were worthless. I will buy a room cleaner with replaceable filters from now on. I have two old ones (3 or 4 yrs. old) and they still work fine (Family Care and Hunter brands). M. May, Mississippi

Got this mainly for my baby and it was great...he never had allergies. I am not sure if this helped or not but I am happy to have peace of mind having it. Very economical since you don't have to buy new filters, just wash it with soap n water. Great design. The car ionizers were not used. I still have them.

I bought these about a year ago and now one is broken. Like other reviewers the red "clean" light came on and no matter how much I clean the thing it won't go off. When I contacted the company about it (which was no easy task. it required calling several different numbers and talking to countless different people, most of whom didn't really understand English) their response was basically "too bad". The second one is still working, but I wonder for how much longer. These purifiers never were that great to begin with. The air didn't feel any cleaner than if I just opened the windows to my apartment and aired it out a little. The only thing they really did was get rid of the stuffy winter feel (but as I said before this can also be solved by just opening the windows for a few minutes). They also didn't help at all with my allergies (the main reason I bought them). The car purifiers are completely worthless. They don't do anything. Overall, I wish I had saved my money and bought something more useful.
