I purchased three of these as I have more bikes than parking space in my garage. I mounted them side by side and learned a few things about the hardware. One is that you really have to find the studs in order to mount these bike hangers. The top screw attaching the mount to the wall carries virtually all of the weight of the bike and I don't think any drywall anchor will work adequately, although I notice that the installation kit includes drywall as well as wood screws. The good news is that for mounting multiple Topeak Wall hangers, the fact that studs are on 16 inch centers works out well as this is about how much room is needed to place multiple hangers along a wall, as long as you vertically stagger the height of adjacent hangers by 6 to 8 inches so that the handlebars don't get crossed up. One think you may not notice if you skip the directions is that the plastic cap that covers the hardware slides onto the side piece before being attached by a small screw. If you don't slide it on first, the plastic pulls away from the wall and doesn't look professional.
My one complaint is that the plastic guard that mounts on the wall to keep the rear tire from scuffing the paint isn't very effective. I mount a number of different bikes depending on season and usage, and bikes are of different lengths so didn't bother to put up that part. In this sense, the Saris Bike Trac is probably better as it has a long channel for both tires to fit. On the other hand, this one has the two hooks which are useful for hanging bike locks, Camelbacks, etc., in space that would be wasted.

I'am extremely satisfied w/ this product. It is made of strong and light material and easy to install. It looks great. I purchased 3 for my family needs, and I installed them in a row, at the same height. Approx. 13 inches apart, this way I saved overall width space and I hung the middle bike up-side down.
