"If you can find this TV buy it" | 2009-11-08 |

I bought this about 8 months ago and have never seen a picture on another set that compares to this model. Its really is stunning. I can't even count how many people that have been over and commented on how great the picture is on this set. One person told me they never really noticed or cared about a tv picture but said that this one was so good that even she took notice.
I read a few months ago that this model is the benchmark that is used to judge the picture of other sets. Not sure if anything changed with the newer models but I feel lucky to have this one in the house. I have two other lcds and while they have great HD pictures this one is at a whole different level. |

"Absolutely the best Flat screen we have seen!!!" | 2009-11-05 |

This was our first flat screen purchase. My wife said there is no sense in buying a small flat screen when we can spend a little more and get a LARGE flat screen. So we have been looking for a long, long time. Then one day we were in a large electronics store and saw this absolutely beautiful 52" screen. That was it!
So I went shopping on the internet and found the best deal on Amazon Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color. They even had "White Glove Delivery". (That's a different great experience--highly recommend). When we set up the TV......both of us said, "WOW!!!!!" It looks bigger and better than in the store!! am not kidding! This is absolutely astounding!! Everybody who walks in says, "WOW!"
I read all the reviews and was concerned about the reflections in the screen and about the color of the bezel. We have no problems with neither. There is nothing we don't like. As a matter of fact, we are moving this weekend and ordered another 52" of almost the exact same..LN52A750.. its a little cheaper now than what we paid for the 650.
We are so excited because we do not have HD, yet. That LN52A650 does such a great job of extrapolation of the satellite picture, everyone thought it was high def. Then we bought a Blu Ray. And we thought the satellite picture was great! These movies look better than real life. How can that be????
Needless to say, we're hooked. We just ordered HD for both our TVs with our move to our new house.
Samsung has done a fantastic job on this TV. Like I said, we had our LN52A650 for almost a year now, we just ordered the LN52A750. Why look at anything else. Its hard to beat perfection!!! |

"Many Samsungs Fail After 1+ Years 10/25/09" | 2009-10-25 |

Do not buy a Samsung TV. My 40 inch Samsung LCD lasted just a little over 2 years. According to multiple internet sites
Samsung built a bunch of LCD TV's with bad capacitors that fail after a year or more (right after warranty is over).
You can do a simple Google search and find many people who have had the same problems. After a year or two, the TV's
no longer turn on. Samsung has been made aware of this issue, but refuses to correct the problem. There are multiple
sites that even tell you exactly how the problem is corrected. I am sure the number of people with this problem will
increase as time goes by. Even with the extended warranty, it is not worth the hassle of buying a large TV from a
company that does not support its products. I did a lot of research before choosing a Samsung, but since it was
early in the production cycle, the problem did not appear. Don't take a chance, get another brand. |

"Samsung has faulty power boards that fail after 14 months!" | 2009-10-25 |

I purchased a 2008 Samsung LCD HDTV that has already had two hdmi ports and the power board fail. The hdmi port failure causes green vertical lines to show up on one side of the tv screen (you have to switch to the cables). The power board failure causes the tv to not even turn on.
The thing particularly upsetting to me is that the manufacture of the capacity resistors they use on their power boards (which cause the early failure) said the resistors were obsolete back in 1999. Ten years ago!
Some idiot in Samsung's supply chain must have mistakenly added another digit on his purchase order, which is why Samsung continues to use them on their boards.
Conveniently for Samsung this problem usually only surfaces after their 1 year warranty is up.
Before purchasing a Samsung peruse the internet tech/repair sites and youtube videos on hundreds/thousands of others that have the same problem as me. |

| I love this LCD HDTV so much, I purchased another one. Samsung did a wonderful job at designing the perfect 52 inch LCD flat panel HDTV. Since I bought mine, and after seeing how this unit performs, myfriends and relatives have purchased this very same unit. Total sales just from seeing mine = 4 units. The proof is seeing it perform. |

I am not sure if this is still available but I am sure the newer 240 Hz models are incredible as well. I do not use the tv speakers I have the Samsung surround unit. Now I am saving my pennies for the LED version! I would reccommend this or any similar model highly.
Also - the shipment was fast, and the isntallation help was great - no need to borrow atruck and lug it from the store! |
