This watch is good for those who don't need a continuos measurment of the heart rate. It's a nice watch and a nice heart rate monitor. I liked it because it is small, different from other heart rates monitors, that use to be very large, specially for women arms.
It arrived before the predicted time very well packaged, working fine.
I recomend it.

Sharp color, nice size, but tough to monitor heart rate unless you stop your cardio workout.

I ordered this as a gift for my mom. She loves it! It works great and it's not too bulky. I think I'll order one for myself!

you have to learn to position your fingers just right. if you do, it gives a reading in between 3 to 7 seconds. it gives a reading about 80% of the time. if it dosen't give a reading, you have to continue holding your fingers down until the watch returns to time mode ( about 10 seconds).the heart rate reading is usually 3 to 4 beats below the actual timed reading. this low reading is about the same as i get from my blood pressure machines; maybe because i have a low heart rate.i think the watch is somewhat useful and about as good as could be expected at this price.

I purchased this as I began an exercise regimen. I was initially delighted as I did not have to have the chest strap, however the heart rate function ceased to work after only a year of moderate use. For the price I expected better quality.

I read all these reviews and was on the fence about getting this. I simply wanted to monitor my heart rate during pretty strenuous workouts. I looked at things from $40 to $190. As I read the reviews, I was nearly talked out of getting it, even though I had already put it in my cart. Then I thought, I am not a triathlete. I just want to run or work out every day and make sure that overall, I'm in a certain training zone. This seems like it would do that... and for $40. So I did get it. It is great! I cannot imagine what it is not doing that people want it to do. When you hold the buttons down for heart rate, it does it within like 1 or 2 seconds.. while I'm jumping around or standing still, running, etc.. it just takes a few seconds. It is not the work-out stopping 5 to 7 seconds I read about at all. And even if it does take 4 or 5 seconds, you can still do this while running or whatever. Do people really have this much trouble reaching their wrist? It needs you to touch it with the other hand because it is not getting your pulse from your wrist. It is doing a little EKG thing, so you have to make the circuit by wearing the watch (the back is a metal plate which is touching your arm) and your other hand touches the metal pieces on top. After a few seconds the circuit is made and there's your heart rate. Simple and easy and fast. AND on top of that, a chronometer, a stopwatch, calorie counter (now on this, truly there is no way it can be very accurate. I think it makes the determination on your age and sex alone, so if I weigh 300 lbs vs. 100 lbs, this will be very different. Still, I like seeing the numbers for some reason??) and dual time function. The ONLY thing I could be happier with is the color. It looks fine but it's a heart rate monitor... I had no intention of wearing it except when I was working out, so I didn't care about the color. Now, that I like it so much, I wish it were black so I could wear it all the time.
