"Great fun!" | 2009-06-27 |

| I bought this for my daughters (3 and 2) to share. Some of the exercises are too advanced for them but will be used when they are old. It is easy to use and lots of fun. It's a great way to spend time with your children since a 3 year old can't use it alone. It comes with a CD so the activities can be done on a computer. My ONLY complaint is that even after installing the program on my laptop from the CD, the game console MUST remain attached via USB to the computer. Otherwise, it's a great learning tool for children. |

| I purchased 2 of these 2 years ago for my children and they have been awesome. This year I purchased 2 on separate occassions for birthday gifts and both have defects. They won't read many of the pages. I have tried contacting vtech and have received absolutely no help and am stuck with a nonworking toy. I actually ended up giving one of my daughters Whiz Kids to the child we originally gave one of the defective games. |

| I sat up late the day after Christmas setting this toy up for my 3 year old. I inserted 3 different pages and then bam...the toy would no longer recognize a page existed in the holder. I reset the toy, I powered it off and inserted new batteries...nothing worked. This is the second V-tech toy I have purchased that didn't work right after out of the box. It seems hit or miss for quality of these toys, either get a great one or get one that you have to go through the hassle of returning. If you have the time to mess with it, I guess go ahead and purchase and see if you are lucky! |

"Does not teach correct writing" | 2008-08-27 |

| This toy was a huge disappointment for my 4 yr old. We wanted someting he could sit and do himself like in the commercial, but small children will still need parental help with most pages and my son gets extremely bored after one page and is done and does not want to try any other. They advertise it for travel, but with all the pages going everywhere, having to sort through them to find the one you want, plus needing the cartridge, that seems ridiculous. Too many pieces. The main thing we wanted was to help him practice writing his letters and numbers. You are better off with plain paper and a pencil. The pen doesn't usually read the whole stroke, so it says "try again" even though you did it right, and the stroke order of 4 letters and 1 number is WRONG, not the way he was taught to write, so it tells you you are wrong. Now he just turned 5, and he received a leapster and plays with it constantly. Don't waste money or time on this. |
