It also reduces the interference artifacts such as speech distortions to maintain exceptionally clear voice intelligibility.

| the plantronics 925 paired easily with a blackberry 8830 and a palm centro, able to switch back and forth without issue. on the 8830 I have to "activate" the headset after charging or if I wander out of range of the handset, but otherwise it's painless. only one phone can be in use at a time, but this isn't a problem, if I need to use both phones I switch one to the speaker or handset. the jawbone I had before would only work with one phone or the other, required to be paired again, and did not like the blackberry, requiring frequent activation or pairing. br /br /the plantronics 640 I had prior to that just simply wore out and fell apart; the 640 worked well with a treo 650, but it did not work well with a treo 700, frequently dropping off and needing to be re-paired.br /br /The case on the 925 is nice, didn't realize it was an extra battery at first... but getting it on and off that microUSB connector isn't a simple or smooth process. My 925 did not come with the lanyard, had to buy it separately, makes it very easy to have around. br /br /Excellent sound quality and functionality. the 925 is the best blue tooth device I've had to date. |

| Of the 4 or 5 bluetooth headsets I have tried by far the best. You can hardly feel the unit in your ear and normal hearing disruption is minimal. A little on the high price end but the travel charger makes this a good value for me. |

| I have in my stable of bluetooth units a Jawbone and I saw the Discovery 925 and read about it being of the same noise cancellation quality as well as a very comfortable unit without the wire loop. fits as advertised and it has never fallen out of my ear no matter how hard you shake your head, I say this is a better buy especially if you purchase online since retail at Verizon is $129.00. |

| I am a former Treo 650 owner who switched to the iPhone 3G. I was never able to find a headset that worked with the Treo - never loud enough or clear on the other end. Well this Pantronics headset is terrific by comparison. Yes, it only has three volume settings, but they are plenty loud and the voice quality is terrific. It is extremely lightweight and paired instantly with the iPhone. I am satisfied. Way to go Plantronics. |

I really wanted to like this headset. The idea of a case with a built-in battery (worth a complete charge) really appealed to me; and I'm a big fan of Plantronics in general. So, if anything, I unwrapped the box biased in favor of the 925.
First, the good stuff. The case recharges the headset very well, and is small enough to toss into an overnight bag. If you fully charge the headset and the case before you go, the combination should keep you fully charged for the duration of a trip of several days unless you are talking constantly. The headset is also light, and comfortable enough if you like this style of headset. I prefer the over-the-ear variety because they feel more stable; but the 925 does fine for a headset of the in-the-ear genre.
Now for the bad part. Every person I spoke with complained of an echo with the headset. Clarity on my end was fine, but the quality was less-than-solid on the other end. This was surprising to me, since audio clarity is typically Plantronics' strength. After swapping the headset with my son, however, I quickly realized that my friends' complaints were spot-on. I immediately went back to my trusty old Plantronics 510. |

"A quality bluetooth, even for picky sorts" | 2008-09-28 |

| I had tried around 5 or 6 different bluetooth headsets before ordering this one from Amazon.com. Unlike with the others, I have never had a problem with this one fitting securely in my ear (no risk of it falling out, especially with 3 different sized earbuds to pick from). The 3-tone volume button has simplified things so that you don't wonder whether you've gotten the right setting, in the event that you have to adjust it to different environments. The sound quality on both ends is very high. It's light enough that you can easily forget that it's in your ear when you aren't on a call. The one thing I might say needs some improvement is the sensitivity of the microphone. When you wear this bluetooth outside, it will pick up any wind that passes by you, and this may impede communication a bit. All in all, this is, by far, the most comfortable and reliable bluetooth I've tried and/or owned. I'm satisfied to the point that I never even wonder if there's anything better out there. The price is not bad at all when you consider the reliability and comfort. |

| I wa looking for a new ear piece for the new Apple 3G I purchased. This headset , after much research, came highly advisable. The package was received earlier than expected. Pairing was as easy as eating a candy bar and the case for charging was a great extra touch. Backgrond noise is none existant and all who I talked to said they heard me loud and clear. The only fault? The ear buds they send. The large is too large and the piece falls out and the medium though fits, becomes loose, after in your ear for awhile. The small you can forget about. I constantly have to make sure the headset is still there. I am afraid some day I will not feel it fall out and then I am out a nice piece of equipment. Yes, I have tried both ears and no I never had problems with any other headset, so I don't think it's my ears. I would give this top ratings except for that ear bud problem. Maybe they should had included a neck lance to keep from loosing it. |

"Best headset ever! No, really!" | 2008-09-23 |

One thing I always hated about these 'types' of bluetooh is that they generally want you to shove some plastic piece into your ear canal in a one-size-fits-all fashion. Even if you find one that is 'close' after a while of wearing it - it will become uncomfortable. None of this is the case with the Discovery 925.
It has a unique rectangular soft ear piece that is meant to go just over the opening of the ear canal with an extension that secures it in place under a fold in your ear. It's the most comfortable thing I've ever worn. Its extremely light-weight so it doesn't weigh you down. It's more secure then you think it is when you have it on - hard to lose even if you shook your head.
The microphone is awesome and picks up good sound. I was able to pair this well with my Apple iPhone. My biggest complaint is just my iPhone reception and that it's sometimes difficult to get your bluetooth to answer by pressing the ear piece button. It takes some getting used to.. you have to hold the button for longer then you'd initially think. A quick press won't answer but more of a "one one thousand" press will. Perhaps this is designed on purpose?
I love this, and was happy I price hunted and bought here on Amazon.com for the best price. It also comes with a nifty recharging case but it's more of a novelty. |
