This game was incredible, loved every second of the about 8 hour gameplay. Tons still left to do in the game so replay value is high. The only part of the game I disliked was the force grab sometimes picked up the wrong person or object, other then that little issue this is grade A gaming here people.

I've been waiting for a Star Wars game that had a fun playability factor, a good storyline, and some replay value. So many times, I have been disappointed with previous Star Wars releases. This one makes a big jump in a positive way. There are a few glitches, but for the most part it is a fun, addictive game. I thought a great part of the game was Proxy. He would continually fight the apprentice as previous Star Wars characters. Including the challenge of fighting Darth Maul. The game was a little bit too short, but the graphics and storyline were excellent. If they can come up with a longer, more in depth version on the next title, it could very well be a top ranked game. Even so, I had fun with this game. Enough to play it through 3 times to unlock all secrets.

Prosbr /* Well scripted, engaging storyline, and terrific voice actingbr /* Amazing game physics and who doesn't like throwing a Stormtrooper into a wall?br /* Careful attention to the little details about the Star Wars Universebr /* Challenging physical puzzlesbr /* No freezes or hangs like other games, but I have a well-maintained PS3 that I actually dust and don't use as tv tray, so your mileage may vary.br /br /Consbr /* Odd targeting problems on occasionbr /* Some puzzles made you feel like you were fighting the controllerbr /br /Don't let anybody tell you any different, this is a solid game, but if running down a corridor cutting down Stormtroopers, Felucians, and Jedi isn't your cup of tea, then you won't like this game. It feels most like a frantic shooter, but if you look at the source material and distill it to a console game, this is what you have. I am close to completing it a second time with the bleaker ending in mind and look forward to the extra level online

Okay this game was good, but not great. It was way to short. I am not a gamer by any means and it only took me 9 hours to bet. (which was only 3 nights). I thought I would be playing this game for at least a week or two. If you are a true video game player it would take you much less time. Here's my rating on the game:br /br /Graphics: Abr /Sound: A+ (especially if you have surround sound)br /Story: A-br /Diffculity: B (but you can pick the difficulty you want to play)br /Length of Game: D (For $60 it should be much longer)br /

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD:br /br /I would just like to start by saying that I was very excited about this game. Since first seeing the teaser trailer got my heart pumping a little faster, I've wanted to play it.br /With that said, this game is majorly disappointing, on nearly every level.br /As others have said before the levels are designed to be straightforward. You essentially run into a room to fight stormtroopers, Felucians, or some other foe. If a game is just about moving from room to room and beating enemies, then at least the fighting mechanics need to be tightly refined. This is not the case.br /The first level is fine. Playing as Darth Vader you walk along a narrow path, throwing Wookies and occaisionally the unintentional, or otherwise, stormtrooper. You do this for several minutes, fight a Jedi, and go to cutscene.br /This is one of two levels where the fighting mechanics seem to work.br /In the next level you walk through a Tie Fighter factory, fight stormtroopers and rebels, fight a Jedi, and go to cutscene.br /This is the entire game.br /There are some puzzles, yes. But mostly they are just Force grabbing something and moving it, or destroying something.br /There is very little variance.br /In the eight and a half hours it took me to play the game there were perhaps one or two moments when I was pleasantly surprised.br /Listening to a force push through stereo speakers is very entertaining.br /The biggest problems seem to lie within the basic fighting mechanics.br /Targeting is abysmal, to say the least, especially on later levels.br /By the time you reach the point where you can pull the Star Destroyer out of the sky, there hardly seems reason to care. The challenge seems to be in actually getting your character to target the swarms of TIE Fighters that are thrown at you. This might seems simple, but when your character is suddenly facing a direction you did not want him to, then things become more troublesome.br /Also, there seem to be many glitches. I cannot count how many times I died while stuck on some piece of invisible thing in the ground.br /And you will die. Oh, the times you will die.br /And ninety percent of them are cheap deaths. There's no other way to put it.br /Two adversaries come to mind that are particularily bothersome.br /First are the shock troopers, big gray stormtroopers that shoot homing rockets, block lightsabers and force powers, can hit your character five or six consecutive times, each time dealing out considerable damage, before you are allowed to move. And blocking doesn't help.br /Next are the felucians. They, too, can block lightsabers, and if you are fighting more than one at a time then you will die. The only guaranteed method for beating them is running away and using the Force Lightening bomb, which is fairly useful.br /Most of the game is spent not really feeling like a Jedi at all. This game doesn't really capture that feeling on a big scale. Sure, you can pick on one stormtrooper at a time, but who can't?br /Another problem I have, as I did with Lost Planet Extreme Condition, is when your character is hit, he then spends the next fifteen seconds, or sometimes more, immobile. Sure, you can mash the buttons all you want, but the enemies will finish their slow combos without any complaint from you. How many times did I wish I could jump or dash away from an enemy that was pounding me? Many, Many times.br /Perhaps this absurdity was purposeful to squeeze eight hours of gameplay from a game that would only have taken six or seven with tight, responsive controls? Maybe.br /With the exception of the Bull Rancor fight, which can only be defeated by jumping into the air and using Force Lightening, and then repeating that for fifteen minutes, I actually enjoyed the Jedi fights. Those were the only spots that I felt the producers of the game got the scope right. It's nice seeing two characters meet each other blow for blow, and some of the cinematic, fluid movements as their lightsabers clashed.br /But then there is six hours of mindless slashing, running, hiding, zapping then hiding again, and running some more. A game with Jedi that need to run away to succeed?br /That's not what I call success

The Force unleashed has never before seen technolagies (ie. DMM and Euphoria) that provide more realism then ever before. The sound in this game is excellent with grate acting and cool effects like the sound of thunder whenever you use force push. The story is deep fun and interesting for Starwars viewers; however, for those who are fans, it epic. some glitches accrue, but they have just been minor. The T rating is appropriate, just like most Lucas games. Overall this is a ground braking game that will not disappoint. br /br / Score 8/10

4 Star Rating  "Good, could have been much better"2008-09-24
- Reviewed By User: A1JMCPKQXRAL7S
I got this game last Tuesday, and I'm confused as to how this game was put together. The story is pretty good, however, it could have been a lot better. Seemed a bit short for a Star Wars game. I don't play video games that much and I finished this one in about 5 hours over the past week. Gameplay is okay. It would have been cool if they made it more like Assassin's Creed of other games like that where you can sneak your way through different locations or go ahead and kill everyone around with your lightsaber and force powers. I do like that they decided to make this a bridge between Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV A New Hope. 3/5 Story, 4/5 Gameplay, 4/5 Controls, 3/5 Length, 4/5 Replay Value.

2 Star Rating  "The demo is very misleading"2008-09-19
- Reviewed By User: A1YKACTCCNF6P4
I enjoyed the demo for this game very much because I felt like a dangerous, powerful jedi. I was frying gangs of stormtroopers with my force lightning and wading through their puny blaster fire to cut them all down with my lightsaber. Only when I bought the game did I discover that the demo features a completely "maxed-out" character, and that the demo level's entertaining mayhem is not at all representative of the game as a whole.

Your character does not feel strong until the very end of the game, if then--a full combo of melee attacks doesn't kill some regular stormtroopers, and enemies with overpowered bazookas and flamethrowers (read--every enemy from about mission 5 on) can kill you from full health before you can even turn your camera to figure out who's hitting you. The big creatures like AT-STs and Rancors are pretty much all the same--throw rocks at their heads until they die.

The story is great. In fact, I wish I knew more about the characters I was introduced to. The cutscenes seemed to give you the bare minimum, as if I had already seen the movie and was playing the game.

Also, the game has a lot of frustrating bad design. If my character steps forward with each attack, don't make him fight on narrow catwalks. Game designers should have learned that players don't like enemies who can knock them down and juggle them to death a long time ago, too. I felt like I was being rewarded for being as cheap as possible, and wound up running straight through several areas after dying repeatedly. I really needed a "fire from cover" mechanic that allowed me to target items for the "force grab" maneuver without standing in the line of fire, and I was constantly pelted by off-camera enemies and enemies far outside my target range. Finally--I didn't like "press this button now" scenes on the old Dragon's Lair arcade game, I didn't like them in Resident Evil 4, and I don't like them now. This game's take on them is 100% pointless--if you miss the button, the guy breaks out of his headlock and you grab him again for another try--repeat as necessary. All in all, this game plays like a super-nice looking Nintendo 64 game.

In the game's defense, the visuals and sound are spectacular, and really immersed me in the "Star Wars" experience--that is, until the bad stuff brought me back down to earth (remember in the movies when Luke had to fight the stormtroopers with shields that blocked the force? Neither do I...) The only thing I can say against the graphics is that Juno Eclipse has really freaky huge teeth that distracted me during the cutscenes.
All in all, buy this game expecting it to be a beautiful button-masher and you won't be disappointed.
