I bought this about 2-3 months ago. I finally started testing it out this week. The songs on it are pretty decent. Although some of them seem a little dated now; they were recent when the product first came out a year ago. I will not fault the product because I bought it late. However, when I went online to try to buy more songs, I would have expected there to be almost everything on the top 40s within the last couple of months; heck, or even from just the past year. Most of the songs were from the 70s-90s. Although it was great to have some of those songs, I would have expected them to have more stuff that was released within the last year.
Also, even on the "easy" level, I find the speed of some of the songs still kind of fast. Also, there should be levels during the practice sessions.

I bought this after playing it at a friends house. I brought it with me to see my parents. The entire family got in on it! We had a great time for HOURS playing and competing to see who could get the best score!

I was never really into karaoke, but I love this game. It is very easy to use and a ton of fun. My family plays it almost every Friday night. There is a wide variety of music, so there is something for everybody.

I have thoroughly enjoyed SingStar Volumes 1 and 2 for the PS3. I love the feature to download more songs and the ability to switch discs without restarting the game. I wish the next volume would come out and that there were continual updates to the online store (granted I have already bought probably 90 songs).
I like the mix of genres and time periods of the songs. I wish there were more country artists and 1950-6-'s music, maybe some show tunes or old standards too! I suppose they don't all have videos...but I bet Sony could solve that.
My friends have enjoyed coming over to play the game, and even the most shy guests will sing because you can control the volume of the video and the mic volume well. We like the challenges that are available to play in groups plus the head to head singing challenge.
