its a good game if you like flying around on a dragon breathing fire all day.
but if you dont or not sure you should rent it first other wise youl be unhappy
there is NO ground fighting so you should keep that in mind before renting/buying it
but its a good game to my friends co- workers and i recommend it to you
"ever wanted to fly with a dragon? this is for you!"
as part of a "top Gun" like elite squadron of dragon riders, you get to ride your dragon through level after of level of flame scortching goodness.
the ps3's graphics are incredible..highly detailed and realistic. the Motion controls of the sixaxis controller takes a bit getting used to , but after that it feels second nature.
i love that you can shoot fireballs go toe to toe with other dragons..and lots more. if your on the fence about this title grab it. you'll be glad you did.

It was decent enough for the price I got it at, but I would not recommend anyone buying it brand new.
"HANG ON FOR A WILD RIDE! THIS GAME IS A BLAST! "

What's the problem people? I really don't understand what all the negative reviews are all about. I almost didn't give LAIR a try because of all the bad reviews. My 10 year old son and I popped this beauty in our new PS3 and within a few minutes were having a blast. Yes the controls are tricky at first and take a bit of getting used to, but that's what makes this game so special. You don't just sit down and start shooting away mindlessly. You actually have to take time(I know that is tough for some) and learn a new way of controling the action and believe me, once you do, hang on tight because you are in for a really wild ride and it's worth it. Lair also includes an in game tutorial/traing center where you can visit as needed to hone your dragon riding/attacking skills. Not only is LAIR extremely addictive and fun to play, but it also looks and sounds amazing. You will love being able to fly your dragons around this beautifully crafted game. My son and I have been playing LAIR for a few days now and really find it hard to put down. My wife even gave it a try and was "Mesmerized" as she put it. So, if you have a bit of patience, love flying around on dragons while roasting some bad guys, and don't mind learning a new way to control the action, then do not hesitate to give LAIR a try. Believe me you will not be disappointed. Have fun flying!
Not as much Depth as that nice old Horizons dragon game, but when it comes to action and playability this game is amazing.
Not exactly sure what all these weird people are talking about, but the controls worked fine to me, what is so hard about tilting the controller to the left to go left, etc?
The game plays great in the air, but walking or running around on the ground clawing, biting, pounding, blowing fire on soldiers, etc is just a blast and that's why this is the best dragon game ever made, a must try!!!

I would still recommend this game, but after playing it more I've realized that the people who made this game are some of the dumbest people on earth. Love the controls, love the graphics, love the idea, but am disgusted with the fact that your being rushed on every mission, you cannot stop and enjoy the game for 2 minutes, I'm on quest 6 I think now, and it's making me sick, try it you'll see what I'm talking about.
I give this 3 stars, not 5 now.

this games shows what ps3 its made off 1080p graphics and 7.1 surround sound plus blu-ray makes all this possible, anyways the controls was the main thing it killed this great franchise which to me its great cause i went up to level 7 with this games using the sixaxis its simple and easy to control plus like the detail and give props for factor 5 making this game i hope they make a sequel cause i loved it ;the contorls are easy because i had experience with a motion sensor controller from logitech before called the wingman extreme that came bundle with one of factor 5 games for pc its awesome hows u could use the same ease here on this game and what i love its the dragon's battle upclose and how u can fight on the ground with the dragon the bad part is no missions with the main character alone nor he uses any weapons at all only the staff and whip to use for the dragon but aside this game its well done and for those not motion sensor firendly there's an update for the controls plus a dragon pack for u gamers and trust i have beat it the game twice with the sixaxis and dualshock3 and its awesome i recommend!
