| Strategy games are rare on the Playstation 3. This game can keep me occupied for hours on end and has enough variations with the different governments and leaders to allow at least months of enjoyments. My games last around 8 hours. The save feature allows you to reload games and try a different strategy to alter the outcomes. Multiplayer is, once again, only for online which means your friends can't join in when they come over. |

Gameplay - I think if your not a hard core civilization fan, then you will enjoy this game more because as a beginner, there is a lot of helpful (and annoying)helpers that help you learn all the basics of survival and how to run your country and what to do. Also the controls are easy and the menu is also easy to navigate. For hard core fans (like me), if you have a PS3 (Or X360) then I would NOT recommend this for you.
Graphics - 3.0/5 I really don't care about Graphics but if you want to know my opinion then here it is. Graphics on this game are not the best but at lease it's playable.
Online - Online you can select from modes like "free for all", "Team match", and much more. This game has a decent Mic system that likes to cut you out a lot. There is also a thing called game of the week where they set up a scenario for you to play each week. There is also leader broads witch you can compare your score with your friends or other people from the world. Overall, I think online if pretty good and I like it.
Single player - Well, the first time you play to game, you have an option to chose if you want an annoying guide to help you around or not. I chose yes because I thought there might be something different from this and all the other CIVs, but not, there was not. But if this is your first CIV game then I say go ahead (Unless your the kind of person who gets annoyed a lot). You have different game modes to chose from, such as "play now" witch selects a random scenario for you to play, and "game of the week" witch was mentioned earlier. There are many more game modes but you will just have to play to find out.
Overall - I kind of like this game and kind of not. This game is a hit or miss for anyone. I guess you just have to try it yourself... |

"Good entry in the series." | 2009-08-06 |

| Revolution is a simplified version of the PC game, but the essence is still there. Although Civilization loses some of its depth, games go much faster, which is especially nice if doing multi player. The lack of customization options like the ability to turn off the annoying animations that frequently pop up during play was the biggest drawback. Overall, this version of Civ succeeds in bringing something new to the series and is worth the buy. |

"This game may cause marriage difficulties" | 2009-07-25 |

Last week I bought this game, End War and some other game. I havent even taken the other two games out of the box because I've been so hooked on this game. The first time I played it I beat it in about four hours and I thought "that was fun but way to short" and I was kind of dissapounted. Then I discovered that there are different difficulty settings. I played it on the next difficulty setting and it was alot harder. After beating it on that setting I went to the next setting which is called "King". I've been trying to beat it and still havent been able to YET. I am hooked on this game. It is so much fun, but my wife hates it because I'll start playing it and before I know it, three, or four hours have gone by. Be warned it is very addicting!
