This game was a lot of fun and easy to figure out. I love that you can play on your own, or with up to four people and all four people are playing at the same time, as opposed to taking turns. Your characters are interactive with each other if you want them to be. So my opponent gets ahead of me, I can fling a turtle at him and temporarily wipe him out ... if I am armed at the time. Lots of fun.

This is coming from someone who played all the Mario Kart series except Super Mario Kart for SNESS and Mario Kart for GBA. I have to say this is a must have for any Wii owner!

The Graphics are beautiful. The screenshots on the back of the box says it all. Racing with the Wii wheel is easy and fun! It sometimes feels like your actually driving if you use your imagination! You can race with the game cube controller or the Wii remote and nunchuk if you want. You can even race with your Mii! But you have to unlock it first.

All the courses are great! Some of the classic race tracks from pass Mario Kart games are on it. Rainbow Road on this game is so beautiful! My favorite Race Track is Mario Circut 3 SNESS. I like it because its a classic and it gives me a chance to race on a track from Mario Kart SNESS which is a game I never had the chance to play.

WiFi is Very fun. I've raced against people all over the world! Its really cool! Fortunately Nintendo eliminated snaking, which had ruined
Wi Fi on Mario Kart DS. But you can pop wheelies on the motorcycles which makes you go slightly faster than the cars. There is also this thing called download Mario Kart Channel. Its when you can download your Mario Kart Stats on you Wii menu.

The bad things are the item frequency. It's unbelievable sometimes! I get hit by 2 blue shells in one lap followed by a red shell which is crazy! But don't listen to the people who say that winning is a gamble. Even though I do get hit by a lot of items, I still almost always make it to either 1st 2and or 3rd place. Another bad thing is, depending on the weight of the character, all the karts are basically the same. No one has their own individual kart so whatever character you pick, its just for eye candy.

Overall this is a great game and I recommend it to anyone who owns a Wii. Thanks for reading!

I have two small sons and have trouble finding games that (1) they don't get overly frustrated by and (2) pass the "mom" standard. This game is a winner!

We already had a wheel from the sports package we purchased but the second wheel is necessary for the two player mode. You can play this game by yourself or with two players (in a spilt screen) against all the other racers. There are a few characters to chose from and different types of racing vehicles. My sons love the dirt bike option. There are several racing tracks to choose from with the ice track being the most difficult. Save yourself some tears and steer the little ones away from this option until they get used to the game. Our favorite was racing through the streets.

I will admit that I could not wait to get my own hands on a wheel to try a track when I saw my kids playing. It is a lot of fun and they have not gotten tired of it yet. It still remains a favorite in a rotation that includes Boom Blox - another great option. I also love that this game works for my kids (4-6) as well as their older cousins (7-10). Heck, even adults enjoy it!

It is no fun forking over money for a video game that becomes a flavor of the week (or even month). You will not have to worry about that with this game.

The Mario Kart Wii is an exceptional game. The whole family enjoys it. After purchase, it arrived immediately with no delay and was found to be in perfect condition just as the seller had said. It was new and never opened. It would have taken much longer to purchase through a retail store since most retailers who carried the item never had it in stock.

Why I bought Wii-br /br /I used to play NES when I was a kid and I always enjoyed it so much. But, as newer consoles began to evolve I found myself intimidated by the new games. Playing seemed to take a lot of effort and practice. There were SO MANY BUTTONS on the controllers for playstation and game cube. It seemed like there was so much to remember. For example you need to press random combinations of buttons to pull out a weapon or jump into the air. It all seemed so confusing to me. So I picked Wii because it had the least amount of buttons- and plus I think the whole motion sensor idea is pretty cool.br /br /Why people dislike the game-br /br /As for Mario Kart for Wii, I have read a few complaints regarding the game play and the controls, however I have noticed that a lot of these complaints come from people who loved the original Mario Kart Double Dash. No one really likes change and apparently the wii version changes a few key playing elements (such as being able to play a battle solo and playing grand prix in multi player mode). However if you've never played any other version of Mario Kart before- this really won't affect you.br /br /The Wii Wheel-br /br /I love the wii wheel because, again, you don't have to push buttons! One button is for the gas and one is for the brake. Easy to remember. I would recommend buying wheels for each remote you own because I think it is by far the easiest way to play, particulary if you are new. It definitely does take some practice though! The motion sensing is pretty sensitive, so if you fling your arms all over the place you will drive off the edge of the road. I have had numerous people come over my house to play and after about 15-30 minutes they have a pretty good handle on the steering. Veteran players seem to dislike the wheel because you do need practice. It is very different from the original mario kart and veteran players have no advantage over newbies.br /br /Why I like the game-br /br /I LOVE playing this game. It is especially fun in the multiplayer mode and online with players from around the world. I like unlocking new stuff and filling up my license with trophies. It is definitely easy to learn and doesn't get old too quickly because there are several modes of play (grand prix, ghost racing, battles, online). There are also a lot of tracks to chose from that vary in difficulty level. This way you can start off with easier tracks and move up to more difficult ones as you improve.br /br /Other things people complain about-br /br /My chief complaint is the online ghost ranking (which is pretty much seeing how fast you can finish a certain track without any other players or error items). People have been able to cheat on this and score ridiculous times like 1 minute for all 3 laps of a track. It kind of defeats the purpose of the ranking because those times are not real. I heard that nintendo is supposed to be working on deleting these fake records, but for now they are still there.br /People also tend to complain about the error items- and for the record what they are saying is true. Often times when you play against the AI characters you seem to get hit with a lot of bad stuff (like the blue shell of death) when you are in first place. It really does seem like you get punished for being in first. The game ranks you on your driving and as of now I have yet to reach the *** level because the computer is always knocking me out! However there are lots of ways to evade the game's error items and keep yourself in first.br /br /br /All in all I personally think the game is great. It's very entertaining for groups of people to play and it is even fun to watch others play. The unlockable karts and characters keep you interested. I've had it for a few months now and I still love it!

This game was frustrating at first, takes a little while to get use to the wheel, but once you get the hang of it it is really nice. I do not like that the save file can not be transfered to another counsel without some creative bypassing, even then you cant use it to play online. Would have been nice to have the option to export non-online save files to an sd card so that I could transfer to ny friends wii and not have to beat courses again.

- Reviewed By lorddavidelson
After playing countless hours of this for a couple months, I can only conclude this is one of the worst games I've ever played.br /br /It's not because of graphics. It's not because of controls. It's because the game stops being fun when you realize two things:br /br /1 - Winning is almost pure luck. You have to get at least one "good" item(star, bullet, giant) during most online races to have a chance. I've been in many races where it takes much more, because I've been bombarded constantly by people with stars and bullets. And God forbid you miss a cube entirely.br /br /2 - The really sad thing about this game is the notion that it must "punish" you for being ahead of everyone else. It's no coincidence that 9 out of 10 races in which I am in first place for a length of time, I get hit with the dreaded blue shell. Even worse than that, races are usually so close that once you're hit by something, everyone else piles into you and next thing you know you've gone from first to near last in an instant.br /br /This game at first glance seems like a lot of fun. And for the first few weeks, it is. Then it becomes a frustrating uphill battle against luck and Nintendo's idea that no one should really be better than anyone else. If someone is, we have to knock him down to make it fair.br /br /I worked hard to get over 7000, and I'm proud of that, but it quit being fun a long time ago. I'm tired of battling luck with skill, when luck wins out almost every time.
