"not great"

biggest gripe is the controls. hard to control, feels akward, negatively affects gameplay. also, your character is often in the way, there were many times when i would try to shoot at something and couldn't hit it, or couldn't hit it accurately, because my character was in the way. and since ammo is at a rediculous premium this can really be a pain.
overall, i'd say your money would be better spent elsewhere on a different game.

One of the best games ever played.
Pros :
- Awesome story line.. not just some nutjob trying to kill everything that moves
- Good Graphics especially for Wii
- Awesome weapons and Zombies
Cons :
- I think that there should have been more missions. I was able to finish it pretty much in 2 days.
Overall :- Its awesome. Loved it. Highly recommend it.
"Great game"

I have always had a trouble getting interested in Resident Evil games and quite honestly I had 4 on the Gamecube for a time and could not enjoy it. Fast forward a few years and I pick up the Wii Edition and I got to say it is simply amazing. The new controls are a perfect fix for the system and the game works really well.
Aiming is pretty much ten times better with the Wii Mote. Graphically it looks on par with what the Gamecube version was. The story and cutscenes are simply amazing and not only well animated but well detailed. You can also upgrade your guns and mix herbs to increase your health. The best part is taking a grenade and chucking it at a bunch of your enemies and watching them explode. The game is gory and is simply a blast. I have to say this game is a must own if you like Resident Evil or games in general that have a strong story.
"Fantastic and Scary!"

I (we) have been using this game a few hours per day for over 3 months and it is AMAZING! Once in, it feels as if you're really IN the game. Very creepy and scary - I get goosebumps using this game and have often jumped out of my skin by a creature lurking behind a corner or hidden room.
We finally reached the end after what seemed to be hundreds of "virtual miles" of exploration. And now we're in the bonus sections which are not cummulatively as long as the original, but are a unexpected, tasty cherry on top of a massively delicious sundae.
Well, well worth the price.
"Horrible Controls"

I got this based on the overall good ratings, and I failed to read the 1 star reviews. I wish I has as the way they set this up to use the wii controls are awful, and you can't change the controls. They must not have ever tried this game. You cannot move and shoot at the same time. How stupid is that. If it was real, you would be running like hell while shooting. You move using the nunchuck and when you press the B button to aim, then the stick on the nunchuck goes from your movement to your point of view and unless you stop moving when you press the B button, you end up looking straight up or straight down into the ground, and by the time you get your orientation back, you are being slashed. So you have to stop and then shoot. When you are fighting the giant, you need to be able to move and shoot. You have to press the B button to aim and then the A button to shoot. It is just plain retarded.
When you press the B button, it will often move you crosshairs and you have to reaim it before you can shoot. Why can't you just press the freaking A or B button to shoot where the crosshairs are so that you could still be moving while shooting? Then maybe the other button could be used to cycle between weapons instead of going into your suitcase every time and having to select the weapon you want.
I am used to the controls on the Call of Duty. In that game where you point the crosshairs is where you look, and you can move and shoot. Not so here. Where you look is solely determined by the controller on the nunchuck. When you are being attacked by many zombies at the same time, you want to back up, but you have to stop shooting to move back and then you get nailed by something being thrown at you because you aren't shooting. I have tried and tried to master the controls, but you can't because it limits you. I like the game and could really get into it, but unless you enjoy dying because of how they set up the control system on this game, don't buy this one.
