| It was hard to put in, maybe because i hadn't read the instructions properly, but it is now in and solid and I'm glad we made the choice of spending a lot of money on a 5 point harness that lasts longer than 40lbs. I don't think a seatbelt is enough for a 4 year old, not when she can take it off at any time, so this gives me piece of mind. |

"Really like it, but installations tips were critical" | 2008-09-29 |

Have it in two cars - one with latch and one without - and had a lot of trouble getting it snug at first on both of them. Once we found the tips (where to pull for latch, and the "long" way to route wihtout), worked great.
We had other Britax seats before (Marathon and Roudabout) and we are pleased to have found a bigger one that will grow with him. My son loves the seat, but does like to have cold water in his cup holder.. |

"awesome car seat-but a little hard to install" | 2008-09-29 |
| - Reviewed By User: A3MKFD2WW0MF8P |
| This is the 4th Britax car seat I have owned. This car seat is everything it claims to be except it is a little difficult to install. We purchased a new car recently and I didn't want to move the car seat between vehicles so I purchased another car seat. The other 3 seats have been an infant and we also have 2 marathons.( one in each vehicle). Our daughter will outgrow the marathon, she is very tall so we went with the booster convertable. I was disapointed that I couldn't get the seat to fit securely in the middle of the back seat. It took forever, but I finally got it on the outside. It is very tight and doesn't move at all, but I would rather it be in the middle. Another thing that is a little annoying, is the bottom clips seem to fall into the seat and they are hard to get a hold of with my daughter in the seat. She loves the comfort and that it has little cup holders on the sides. Overall, great car seat once again. |

| I am so happy with the Frontier. I tried many many boosters out and finally bought the frontier. Read the directions and it is SO easy to install. |

"5 stars for safety but 4 for installation." | 2008-09-23 |

| This seat was my pick for our 4 year old who has outgrown her Britax Roundabout. I read the reviews warning the installation hassles, but figured it was worth the headache. br /br /Once I finished fighting with the LATCH straps and pulling with all my might - bruising my fingers in the process - the seat was firmly cemented into my car's back seat. br /br /I feel very confident that if anything were to happen to us on the road that my daughter will be as safe as possible.br /br /I love Britax and regardless of the installation struggle, wouldn't hesitate to recommend this seat to anyone. |

"Cute but horrible!" | 2008-09-22 |

| I purchased these carseats about three months ago. I have two girls ages 6 and 3, so I bought two. I researched for a long time. I have never used any other than Britax for my choice of carseats. We were auctually in a deadly car accident, my kids were both in there Britax Roundabout seats and were unharmed! That is the reason I returned to buy the new one's. I saw the Frontier and I thought it was so cute (we have the pink ones). LET ME WARN YOU... The upholstery is SO itchy. We live where it gets hot during the summer and my kids would have a rash after getting out of the car. The seat is HUGE! I have an SUV and the both of them take up the entire middle row, wich makes it impossible to get to the back row! It is very hard to install, hard when you are using the seatbelt only option. The worst though is that the cover is not removable. My daughter was sick and threw up and now this car seat is sitting in our garage. I did the best I could wiping it down. The seat is a great idea because I feel like my kids will never outgrow it but, it is just NOT practical AT ALL. I like the five point harness and the fact my girls feel like big kids because it have the "booster" look to it. I still love Birtax and am shopping for new one's. They need to pull this one and make major improvements! |

"5 Pt harness is not for tall kids!" | 2008-09-22 |

| I purchased this seat specifically to use the 5 pt harness for my oversized 3 year old, but my son is too tall by several inches to use the five point harness - He meets the listed height/weight requirements, but according to the manual, we would have to use the seat only in booster mode - he can get out of his booster, which is why I wanted the 5-pt for as long as possible. He is 43 or 44" and 39 lbs - the info says you can use the harness to 80 lbs, but I can't imagine how square a kid would have to be to be 80 lbs and fit under the harness slots - they look more appropriate for my 10 month old. We're going to try the Britax Roundabout or Graco 3-way. Otherwise, it looks like a nice seat! |

| My daughter is very, very happy with her new car seat, which she says is more comfortable then her old seat. It was fairly easy to install into the car (like any other seat) and I love the 5 point harness, yet later we can convert to booster. The seat is wide enough and comfortable and I'm very happy with the color. The cup holder and arm rest is okay.....my daughter doesn't use them very much so it's okay. I am very happy with the price and the purchase! It arrived promptly!! Happy in Hawaii. |

"Great seat, but not for older cars!" | 2008-09-16 |

| I love our Britax Roundabout, but my son is too big for it now. We purchased the Frontier and had to return it. If you have an older car that does not have the latch system or a seat that does not recline do not purchase this seat. Even the car seat installation experts could not get this seat installed in my 1996 Dodge Stratus. They told me to either get a new car or a different seat. We purchased the Graco Nautilus and it installed great. Although it is not as comfortable and not as high quality as the Frontier. Sure wish a new car was possible. |

"Not entirely impressed" | 2008-09-12 |

| We are big fans of Britax products. They are rated some of the safest and they are not only durable but easy to use and install... Until I met this one. My opinion may change when it is converted to a true booster but my first taste of trying to install is sour! The anchor straps on the previous seat for our three kids(Marathon)are easy to use and very secure as they click in and tighten right up rock solid. We have loaned our spare seat to friends and they could not believe how solid and secure thay can get. This seat however, the straps are moved to the back and are nearly impossible to get at to clip and tighten using the anchors. I then used the seat belt pass through and found that in my Toyota Sienna it really only fits well in the right rear seat using the seat belt as a back-up. The seat belt has to make and odd tight connection to click tightly but only after stuffing a towel under the seat. I feel as if it is safe and secure but I really look forward to the booster mode and feel like it will be much easier. It is a comfortable and safe transitional chair, but I could do without the engineering change to move the anchor straps which seems like the only reason was to make way for cup holders. |
