| We received this stroller set today and we LOVE the look of it. It's very sporty looking and looks more expensive than it was. I really can't say enough about the good looks of this stroller, it should stand out in a crowd. The wheels are nice and big and there is even "soft suspension" in the front which makes it very smooth rolling. It took my husband about 30 minutes to put everything together and then maybe 10 to 15 minutes to figure out how everything works. It folds together really easily and everything seems very smooth to operate. Our baby is due in 3 months and I'll write annother review after putting it into practical use but so far I'd highly recommend it. |

| I just got this system yesterday and I love it! This system is top notch for saftey: The dual front wheel makes it sturdy, hard to tip; extreemly secure locking system for baby carrier; the blue fabric is actually reflective fabric, so it is silverish-blue but shines in car lights; The brakes are not resistant type or cheap they are more like gear brakes that fit into the tooth of the wheel mechanism; You can lock the front wheel strait for jogging; they system is well balanced even with stuff in the basket/bar; can be manuvered and operated with only one hand; Very light weight yet not at all cheap; the grips and padding is soft; the harnesses are secure 3 point and fully adjustible with pads to prevent chaffing; the wheels are an extruded tough foam, which make for a smooth ride over various terrain.br /br /There are more bells and whisles than what I expected, it has a holder for phone or ipod, a peek through window, a nice sized tray for mom and baby (I don't tend to have much more than a cup of coffee/bottle of water with me, so I don't need a TV tray on my stroller). The baby's tray has a deep cup holder and is concave for snacks and not as shallow as other trays - nice for cheerios on tray and not floor. The basket is perfect for me, but I don't need a shopping cart stroller. br /br /The only thing I didn't like was that the seat doesn't lay completely down, but most kids don't have trouble sleeping sitting up, so its not a huge concern. The angle of the seat and the amount it does recline doesn't necessarily need it to lay back completely. And I read alot about the color of the fabric - I am having a girl and the color is just fine...its not too boyish - I was more impressed with its reflective quality than concerned about it being blue, besides my husband loves it and doesn't mind pushing it around because it looks cool....much better than asking him to push around a pink stroller.br /br /All and all, I love it. I wanted something metro, lightweight, easy to manuver, compact, and most importantly SAFE - this system fits the bill. |

"Love it! (So far...)" | 2008-08-27 |

I bought this travel system after reading TONS and TONS of consumer reviews on just abot every affordable system around. I compared this to just about every Graco, Evenflo etc system (re: didn't check ou tthe Peg Perego's etc, as I can't fathom spending that much!). I bought this one as it received rave reviews and was totally affordable. I bought it from albeebaby.com (was on sale for $119.00!). I bought an additional base for the car seat (it comes with one) and still paid less than what i would have paid for the Graco/Evenflo systems that i looked at - and this looks a lot better.
So - I had a spring baby and have used this system almost daily for 3 months. So far, I love it! Here's the breakdown -
Stroller - AWESOME! This is one of the lightest strollers I have ever used. It steers very well and the three wheel design (with the swivel front wheel) allows you to make sharper turns than a conventional stroller. THe front wheel does have a lock to be used on really rough services (gravel, etc), but i've never had to use it. I use this stroller and walk a VERY large yellow lab at the same time and have no problems. I can steer this easily with one hand if I have to. I do wish that the seat reclined further so that my young infant would be able to use it without the car seat, but that's not a huge deal. The basket could be a bit bigger, but I've just grown accustomed to not taking lots of stuff! I just throw a few diapers, some wipes, extra clothes and a camera down there and we're good to go. It folds down fairly compactly and I can lift it into the back of our Ford Freestyle one handed if need be. When used with the infant seat, it is somewhat inconvenient to have to add in the extra rod that the seat clips onto, but again, not a huge issue. The rod is self storing which is nice. The canopies on the car seat and the stroller meet up nicely so that baby can be completely covered if there is tons of sun, and to some extent this will also keep out rain and bugs, though not completely. Also, the car seat handle flips down and can be used to pull the stroller from the front if you need to (super handy in clothing stores where the is often a tight fit!).Even with the infant seat, the stoller is very easy to push, steer etc and remains very stable. The three wheel design of the stroller is nice as it is streamlined and fits into tight spaces and the front wheel doesn't stick out nearly as far as other three wheeled strollers.
Car Seat - This seat for me, is just ok. It's not as user friendly as other seats, but it does the job that it's supposed to do. I don't have any real huge cons, but there are not any really huge pros to it either (besides compatability with the stroller). THe seat is fairly large (bigger than lots of others that I see), which is good as you can use it for the full first year (unless your baby is an Amazon), but this also means that is is heavier, more cumbersome to carry (especially without the "z" handle many seats have) and may be more of a struggle to fit into a small vehicle. We have a 2 door grand am, which it fits in, but it must go on the passenger side so that my husband can still drive the car (front seat must be slid forward quite a bit). The size makes it a struggle to remove from a 2 door car as well - gets caught up in the seat belt. But, with some practice it goes a litte more smoothly. Our second car is a Ford Freestyle (a 6 passenger crossover), which is VERY easy to get it in and our from, but still is pretty tight with the front seats. I really like that it has head and body padding, there was no need to buy anything extra to go with it when the baby was a newborn. It has managed to cradle his head through his hips just as well when he was 8 pounds as it does now when he is 14. The strap system is your typical 5 point harness, which is nice but the crotch clip (for lack of a better term) is a little weird. It's made of a strange plastic, probably would be better if it were metal like our toddler seat. IT is also somewhat difficult to buckle if you have the straps adjusted tight enough to be safe for the child. However - if you hold the button down when you are buckling it, it buckles much easier. Like other users have said, the canopy is fairly flimsy and falls a lot during use (not so much in the car as wen you are carrying the seat.)
All in all - definitely a good buy. My husband wonders if the wheels of the stroller will hold up over time, but so far so good. I love it and I'm happy with the purchase. It looks much nicer than other stroller systems (nice and streamlined - I get tons of compliments)and the stroller is the best i've used. The car seat isn't the greatest, but again, no real serious issues with it, just some minor inconveniences. Not really any bells and whistles, if that's what you're looking for, but after 3 months of use, I'd buy it again. |

This was a great deal for the price. I got it on sale for $111.00. The car seat is sturdy so the baby''s head isn't rolling around everywhere. The only problem with the car seat is that the sun shade comes off but its no big deal and easily fixable.
The stroller is awesome but its kind of hard to turn right away, you kind of have to back it up. Like I said, it's a great deal for the price. |

| I was looking at jogging strollers and travel systems for my 3rd baby (we wore out one of each with the first two). This stroller is a perfect combination of jogger/carseat combo in my opinion! This is by far the lightest stroller that we have tried and the easiest to maneuver. I can hold onto my 3 yr. old with one hand and still steer the stroller with no problem! I do a lot of outdoor walking and this stroller has proven itself to be just as capable as my old jogger of working on sidewalks, grass, and gravel without the hassle of having to air up the tires. I also like how the cover on the infant seat combines with the cover on the stroller to completely cover baby so that he is protected from the elements if needed. I did add a couple of strips of heavy duty black velcro to the back of the car seat cover when I realized that there was nothing holding it there and it stays perfectly in place now. I had to practice folding it two or three times to get the hang of it, but I love how it folds to a standing up position so that it can "stand" in the storage area behind the back seat of my minivan. It also took a little practice to get used to the clasp on the infant seat, but it's been no problem now that I'm used to it, and I like it a lot better than the old "over the head" buckle on my old seat that always seemed to get twisted up. The infant carrier is larger than I expected, but very easy to get in and out of the base and seems to be nice and comfy for my baby. I wish that I had had this stroller with my other two boys. I love it! |

| Ater much research we decided on the Saftey 1st Acella Sport Travel System for our first grandson. There were only 2 jogging travel systems that we could find & the low price made us wonder on this purchase. It has turned out to be very nice & well worth more than the low price. It was easy for them to assembly & very light weight. A plus since they live in an apartment in San Francisco! Being a jogging stroller it is easier to maneuver, a nice thing on crowded city streets! |

"Light stroller - Heavy/difficult car seat" | 2008-08-11 |

We just had our first baby and have no experience with strollers, car seats and such. We did a lot of research and were looking for a light-weight easy to use stroller. The Safety 1st acella stroller fits the bill perfectly. You can easily make a turn with one hand. Very manuverable.
I cant say the samething about the carseat. It is heavy and with the baby in it, my wife struggles carrying it around during pediatrician visits. The safety belt clip & locking system is poorly designed. you have to align the 2 parts of the clip into one and then push it into the locking base until it snaps. I have to push the clip(s) VERY hard into the base. With the baby in the carseat, this locking mechanism is a hassle. I have to be careful not to push into the baby's thighs while snapping the belt in place. Since this comes as a pair, buy this only for the stroller.
