My wife and I are in our 30's with little to no musical expertise and do not play video games, unless we are very bored. We have two young daughters, ages 8 and 6. The rock band set, including guitar, drums and microphone, including the guitar hero guitar gives us each an instrument to play along with at the same time. IT IS A BLAST FOR ALL OF US! As many of you know, young kids have short attention spans, but my girls can play for hours. Not only that, but what a sight as they make progress and keep getting better with practice. It's fun for the entire family. I highly recommend this game. Move over movie night, board game night or any other family activity, this game is one that delivers.
Aside from the tremendous fun, spending time together, learning to play-like instruments, singing (even if you can't) the songs aren't to bad either. For the price, I'm sure someone-somewhere is certainly a millionaire.

Great game with plenty of music to select from. Works perfectly with Guitar Hero guitars. Only wish the drum kit wasn't so loud. Otherwise, it keeps the 15 year old entertained for hours and he gets to jam to his Dad's music. We play as a family and have had some great bonding moments. A perfect way to spend a rainy Saturday evening in...even our friends get in on the action and now the basement has become a music studio for even the most musically uninclined!

Much to my shock everyone in the family loves this game! Even the grandparents love this game when they come over and play. Good for ages 4-64!

This game is so much fun! My 15 year old son mowed lawns to make the money to buy this game. He wanted to do it on his own, and as a parent I was worried that he would work so hard and spend his money foolishly. This game did not disappoint either one of us. It is something the whole family can enjoy together, unlike most of the video games he owns that only one or two people can play at a time. And with 4 kids, any game that I see them taking turns without being "instructed" makes me happy. Would absolutely suggest this game!

Bought package used, but could never tell. The only sign that it was used, because I'm still not sure, was the sticker on the back of the guitar was slightly wrinkled in one corner. The game is great for the family although for younger kids be aware some of the songs are not meant for kids under 7. No real bad words, but the mention of love is a drug and "what the hell am I doing here" is bad enough coming from a 4 year olds mouth.
