"We expected quality from this TV, but it is absolutely fantastic!" | 2008-10-04 |

We can not get anything done since it arrived last week - our eyes are glued to it!
My anticipated concerns were 1. the touch of color - not a problem and not even noticed 2. Stationary base - no problem. easy to adjust and move if one needs to. 3. Ceva shipping - could not have been better. With free shipping I got the TV in 4 days and they were most accomodating in meeting my time requests. The set up includes taking it out of the box, placing it where you want it in your home, checking for physical damage and making sure sound is heard and it turns on. The rest of the set up is up to you. They were great.
It was recommended to buy Monster HDMI 1000HD ultra-high speed HDMI cable and Monster HTS 1000 MKII or III powercenter with clean power stage 2 to receive the ultimate HD quality of the TV. So we did and they work perfectly with this tv.
And for those who are remote challenged.......a logitech harmony one universal remote is a no brainer to use.
We love this TV and would recommend it to those looking for a quality LCD TV. Who needs to go to the theater when you have this in your home! |

"The HD Picture Is So Lifelike It Makes You Part Of The TV" | 2008-10-04 |

| The HD channels and 1080p playback of DVD's is just so amazing with the 120Hz picture. Delivery was on time and we unpacked the TV, fired it up and the delivery guy waited to make sure it worked properly. I had a RCA rear projection for 3 years but it broke down 2 times in the last 6 mos. and the cost to repair was half the price of the Samsung. I reviewed alot of LCD tv's for about 7mos. and one visit to a local store with this TV on display was all it took. It's hard to get my outside work done esp. when sports are on because the awesome picture draws you to it so you don't want to leave. I enjoy all of the features and most of all the picture-in-picture. I looked at the Sony's but Samsung was the better value for the money. |

Awesome TV. Picture quality is fantastic. Now if I could only figure out the right encoding to stream movies to the TV, documentation is not specific enough... The built-in speakers are just OK. We are thinking of getting one of those Surround all-in -one bars... Also my wife thought that the Red Touch of color border would light up. Not the case. |

"Major design flaw" | 2008-10-02 |

| I purchased the 750 series after doing a lot of research and reading a lot of reviews. There was some comment on the "halo effect" but I figured how bad could it be. Before I ordered it I went to the box store to check it out but there is so much fluorescent light and action in those stores that you cannot tell. I just had the delivery company to my house yesterday to pick up and return the TV. Believe me I would not have gone through the hassle of returning this if I truly didnt think it ruined the set. This is not a minor reflection or glow only in a dark room, it is like watching another picture outside of the picture. There is action on all sides of the bezel even in daylight. It is especially noticeable watching sports or other programs where the full screen is taken up by the picture. I called Samsung and they put me in touch with a repair person who basically said there is nothing he can do until Samsung comes up with a fix. He indicated he is swamped with inquires on how to fix this. I read some stuff about putting black tape on the back side of the TV. This will not work as the reflection appears on the front side of the bezel. It is truly a serious design flaw and an absolute shame, because the picture quality of the set was fantastic. The sound was great. The features were great. The TV has great "guts" just a terrible design. Once the 750 gets logged in as returned, I will be ordering the 650 model. Unfortunately from the looks of it the 800 series has the same design as the 700. Hope this helps. |

Bought this TV from Amazon and it was delivered today (4 days ahead of schedule. Quick setup. No halo effect.
DLNA does not seem to work with Tversity but I can always use Samsung's media server software.
Very happy with the purchase.. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a 46 inch TV. |

| For those worried about the "halo effect" some have complained about, good news...Samsung is aware of the issue. Newer reviews of this tv have stated not even seeing the so-called Halo. That's because the latest models of the 750 (those made August on) have the new bezel that was created to defeat the Halo. For those who've already bought one....you can go on the Samsung website and they direct you on how to get a service technician to come to your home to fix the problem for free. |

5 * for what I see on the screen. I researched for 2 years and waited long enough. I compared this model LN46A750 in stores along with many other brands. With 4ms Response Time, 120Hz Refresh Rate, and 50000:1 Contrast Ratio it can't go wrong. It all adds up for that clear and beautiful picture. I connected my indoor HD antenna from Monoprice.com and Auto Tuned. Booooom! Now I see 30+ local channels in Plymouth, MN area. 5 HD and other Digital and Standard signals. I'm not only pleased with HD signals in this TV but also the standard 4:3 signals. I hooked up my VCR and still the standard signals are rendering to a great quality. I hooked up my Pioneer 1080P Upconverting DVD Player and wow, I was very pleased with the picture quality. Built-In contents are added value. Info Link and DLNA is very promising new technology. I could see that DVR's could be built in the Television in another few years. I'm extremely happy with this purchase.
Some CONS are the edges could bleed light and may be distracting at times. To get the DLNA working you need to have you Computer and TV connected to same network over the cable.
Amazon.com got the lowest price. I like the white glove shipping. I saved $500 buying from Amazon.com. |

| I thought long and hard about replacing a perfectly good 27"Toshiba with this unit. LCD vs CRT, no longer an issue with me, CRT's are history. Samsung/Amazon delivered a great product on time with the advertised white glove delivery, it actually works inspite of what others may say. The delivery folks set the unit up, had me screw in the cable connector, br /and walked us through the TV menue. What a great experience, delivered as advertised, a bit earlyier than expected but the tracking system was right on and early rather than late notification worked fine. |
