This is a great rack, well worth the money. It mount perfectly fine on my 1997 honda accord sedan. After playing with it for a bit, i manage to put 1 adult mountain bike, 1 adult beach cruiser and 1 adult bmx bike. With 3 bikes the rack i notice the handle start to bend down a bit. I usually take them to the beach which is about 30-45 mins away and it works just fine. Not sure about long road trip. I have attached a few pictures, check it out for yourselves. :)

Quick and easy set up. Once in place, the rack is very stable and the bikes remain securely mounted. We managed to squeeze 4 bikes on for a weekend trip. Did not have any problems.
Some tips:
Arrange the arms to be as far out as possible so that the bike pedals don't scratch the pain on the trunk.
Remember to tie up the loose ends of the straps after you've installed the rack; we forgot to do so on the way back and shredded the ends of the straps by dragging them on the road for 200 miles!
Use the extra strap lengths to tie down the front wheels/handlbars so they stay in one place.

I bought this rack to transport my daughters bikes from where I am in Boston back to Toronto where they are now living. With 6 straps it was the most secure rack I could find online without getting a trailer hitch.
The rack mounted in about 10 minutes after a bit of adjustment to the straps (and figuring out that the bottom 2 went to the bottom not the sides). On the day of the trip it took again about 10 minutes to re-mount the rack. The bikes slid on with little difficulty and we were on our way.
About 70 miles into the trip we stopped for coffee and I checked the straps. That first portion I never felt any shift, or heard any bounce. The two bottom straps came away from the liftgate on the van. Even with just the 4 this rack was exceptionally solid! Re-secured the straps and we were again on our way.
I would recommend this for anyone who either wants to take bikes (3 for this model) on short or long trips. Mind you I haven't taken the rack offroading... yet
"Been meaning to post a review!"

I've been meaning to post a review of this bike rack. I purchased this rack about a year and two months ago. With that amount of time of usage, here is my quick review.
-The build of the rack itself-
The rack is solid and does not feel flimsy at all. The knobs to tighten and loosen the pivot of the rack is also a solid piece.
-The mounting of the rack-
I own a Lexus IS250. This rack works perfectly with this model car. Also, any other car with similar shape should work out. I usually wipe down the areas where my rack makes contact with the car. I don't want the dust to scrape via friction from contact with the foam cushions on the rack to my car.
Mounting only takes a minute or two, literally. Once you try this out, and do it a couple times, its unbelievably easy!
I have used this rack with usually one road bike. I have mounted two road bikes on occasion and last weekend tried two road bikes and a mountain bike. Having three bikes turned out to be just as safe and steady on the rack as having one! Incredibly sturdy and reliable.
-Gripes, complaints-
Not much really.
The knobs when tightened very snug does also tighten the silver pieces that "pivot" the straps - so if you tighten the knob, make sure the strap is pointing in the right direction where the strap will be going in. This alone should not deter any potential users as I have never found this a problem or irritating enough. It's just one of those things you go...oh I have to loosen the dial to re-adjust the strap...no biggie- takes 5 seconds.
Also, my road bike is a size 48, the rack is a bit too wide for the main length of the frame, but for a bike this size, there is a spot infront of the rear bike tire that you can mount that fixes this issue.
-Final words-
After a year, I am still looking back to make sure my $900 bike is still mounted up, even though its a solid bike, I wanted to make sure my bike was there...haha!
I have never taken off my bike after a long mount to notice it getting any looser or unstable. The mount is always SOLID. For this price, the rack can't be beat!

I HAVE A TOYOTA COROLLA SEDAN AND A HONDA CRV. THIS RACK IS REALLY GOOD ON MY SEDAN BECAUSE THE PEDAL GOES ABOVE THE TRUNK AND DOESN'T HIT THE CAR, BUT ONCE I TRIED IT ON MY CRV AND I HAD TO COVER THE PEDAL BECAUSE IT WAS SO CLOSE TO THE BACK DOOR THAT WOULD SCRATCH THE DOOR. TOTALLY ITS A GOOD RACK AND I COULD PUT 3 BIKES ON IT, (1)26" & (1)24" MOUNTAIN BIKES AND (1) 18" KIDS BIKE.
DON'T FORGET TO RE-TIGHT ALL THE ROPES AFTER LOADING THE BIKES ON THE RACK.
I HAVE NOT TRIED IT IN LONG DISTANCES AND I HAVE NO IDEA IF IT CAN TAKE THAT LONG WITHOUT BEING LOOSEN.
