I use this rack on a 2000 VW beetle with a spoiler. Figuring out how to use it was easy, the only thing is that on the beetle you can only hook the bottom strap to the bottom lip of the trunk forcing you to mount the rack a bit high. Mounting the rack high puts it at a high angle and the bike closest to the car will touch the back window with a peddle. I just wrap that peddle with a small towel and secure it with a small bungee. Another small gripe is that rack wobbles a little no matter how tight the straps. I am not sure if this is due to the shape of the car or the fact that there are only three straps. Could be both I guess. I would also recommend the cross-bar adapter if you have a women's bike or any other irregular framed bike. It really makes a difference on the stability of the rack. Overall good rack for getting around town with two bikes.

We bought this rack to carry our two bikes on a 500 mile round trip. It was easy to attach it to the back of my wife's Saturn VUE and we didn't have any problems at all. The straps are easy to adjust and held the rack well against the rear hatch of her SUV. We did have a slight problem with the rack rocking side to side slightly, but everything stayed where it should and there was no damage to the vehicle or bikes and everyone and everything made it there and back nice and safely.
We are pleased with our purchase and would certainly recommend this bike rack to someone who is looking for a good, solid way of transporting their bikes.

I am very satisfied with this bike rack. I do not have any experience with any other bike racks, but this one seems to do the job just fine, and it can be mounted on the trunk or unmounted from the trunk in less than a minute. Haven't had any problem yet, although I have only driven short distances (within 1/1.5 miles) with my bike mounted on it. Do not know how it will perform on a longer trip.

I got this bike rack about two months ago, and I've had no problems with it whatsoever. It's very durable and lightweight. The only thing I would change to the rack would be making the bottom tightening strap webbing rather than elastic, as it wouldn't constitute any additional refinement for the tightening. The elastic is very minor though, it is a great bike rack.

The rack is nice and sturdy. I have a '05 C230 and it worked very well on my car. I would recommend it. I drove about 60 miles/hour with one hybrid bike on the rack. It did not come loose.
That being said, here are a couple of observations.
This is my first trunk mount rack. I am not sure if all such racks have metal hooks or whether some have plastic coated hooks. This has metal hooks that are painted but I do worry about the metal hooks scratching off the paint. I will probably put some rubber over the trunk lip to which the hooks attach.
