"Great scale for weighing cats!" | 2009-08-30 |

| I purchased this scale about a year ago in order to weigh my cats. This scale is very accurate. It's perfect for cats- my cats don't mind it at all. I think the flat design is a better choice for cats than some other scales that have curved edges or raised borders. My cats can just walk right onto the scale and lay down without problems. I've never had to change the batteries, which is another plus. I purchased this a year ago when it was about $30 cheaper-- not sure why the price went up so much. Overall, a great scale for cat owners that need to monitor their cats' weight! |

"Disappointing" | 2009-01-01 |

| I got this for weighing several cats and found it frustrating, inconvenient and ultimately defective. It has no button you can push to reset it to zero, so you have to keep turning it on and off between animals and waiting for it to reset itself. Also, it takes too long to register a weight, making it hard to use with fidgety or unsettled cats. By the time I got to the fourth cat, it wouldn't reset itself to zero at all even if I turned it off and left it off for a while. It's going back! |

"Works Well, Plus a Bonus." | 2008-11-23 |

We felt the need to outfit our infant's room with a baby scale and purchased this model. It fits nicely on our dresser top when in use and stores easily in the closet at other times. It seems to work fine, as long as you can keep the baby still for a while. I have nothing with which to check the accuracy, but it seems to be consistent in multiple weighings. The scale has a ruler measuring scale in inches across the top. Unfortunately, it only goes up to 20 inches and our boy was 22 inches at birth. Oh well, we have a measuring tape. In any case, the scale is easy and convenient to use. It's nice looking and easy to store and we have no complaints as to flaws.
I noticed from the other reviewers that many people use the scale to weigh their pets, especially cats. Well, I hadn't thought of that at the time of purchase, but we have a couple cats and it works very well. I guess this could be counted as an unexpected bonus.

"good but not totally precise pet scale" | 2008-09-26 |

| Like some other reviewers, I bought this as a pet scale (for my miniature dachshunds). They both stepped onto it willingly. However (and I might add just like at the scale at my vet's, which I'm sure cost a lot more) as they don't hold totally still the reading keeps fluctuating. This works fine as a ballpark, which is enough for my needs (I need to make sure my girl is gaining some weight and my boy isn't), but if you need a really precise or exact weight I think it would be difficult to get on this scale with either pets or babies -- unless you are somehow able to immobilize them on the scale. |

Great baby scale for the price. My daughter has twin girls and uses it to make sure the babies are getting enough breastmilk and monitor their weight. Does not take up alot of room and can easily stored under the dresser if needed. |

I purchased this to weigh my cat who is on a diet. She needs to lose about an ounce a week, so I was glad that this weighed in half ounce increments.
The issue I have is that I'm not sure if I trust the weight provided. I weighed her once and she was 9 lbs. 9 oz, and then a half hour later she was 9 lbs. 10 oz. In normal circumstances I would say it's good enough, but when I'm supposed to track by ounce and modify her diet based on what works, it's a bit tough. |
