My ipod touch is a life saver! It organizes my life and makes life so easy. with calendars and reminders, cookbooks, fictional books and best of all TEXT BOOKs for school!!! It runs perfectly and came in fast, it matched its discrimination to a tea.

These guys do a wonderful job with there electronics.

I ASKED AROUND TO SEE WHAT WAS THE BEST WAY TO GO SO I LIKED THE IPOD TOUCH CAUSE IT WAS WHAT I WANTED WHILE ENJOYING WORKING OUT AND DOING OTHER ACTIVITIES. As iPods go this 2nd Gen 16G version isn't bad and provides enough gb for most users. However, this model is now hopelessly dated and Apple doesn't even make a 16G anymore. I was "forced" to replace my previous 16G 2nd Gen (it's a long story...) which is the only reason I ordered it. You can get the newest 32G iPod Touch for the same amount of $$ (actually I think it's a little less)yet for some reason sellers insist on selling the 16Gs for close to their original price.
There's nothing wrong with the 16GB 2nd Gen model per se (except that a fully charged battery only lasts 2 hours) there's just no reason to get one when you can get a current model with double the GB for less money. They should knock the price of the remainders of this model down to about $150 new and it would be a good deal. Don't bother with this model until the price falls drastically. Go find a current 32G.

By now, most people reading this will have handled the ipod touch or an iphone, so I won't say anything about the beautiful screen, nice sized memory, handy speaker, cool apps, and other revolutionary aspects. I'll talk about how it has held up for me over the past year.

The battery is horrible. I can practically see the charge slipping away. Safari and other apps crash a few times a week (safari has been awful tonight, crashing several times). Wifi signals need to be pretty strong for it to find them (is it worse, or do I just notice it more?), and I inexplicably cannot read my emails online anymore (problem with safari and java?)--it gets annoying after a while.

It is a nice product overall. Glad I got it as a present last year, and I have gotten a lot of use out of it. However, I think it was only built to last about a year. What am I going to do next year when the battery is even more pathetic? How much longer will I be able to put up with crashing programs, especially this annoying browser? I don't need a phone, and I like a lot of things about this device, but perhaps it is time for me to get a smartphone running on Google Android. At least then I could change the battery!
