The function on this controller is great. I have had ZERO problems with it. I bought it to use on my Nintendo Wii to download some Virtual Console games. I used it to play "Metroid" from the original 8-bit Nintendo system and it worked as well as I remember the wired controller working 20 years ago. The only thing you need to worry about is sometimes when the action gets tough you might accidentally hit the "map button" feature. If this happens you just pause the game and turn off the controller and then back on again and it is fine.

This controller looks nice, and it does work on the original GameCube. I do have one little complaint about it though. The top two shoulder buttons (ZL and ZR) are really just duplicate buttons. I know this because I got it for my computer (I have a converter for GameCube controllers to USB). I wanted to stop using up the families GameCube controllers and get a wireless one too, so I got this one, as it was cheep and looked nice.

Other then the duplicate buttons, this controller should work just fine with your Wii and GameCube (perfectly for GameCube games, some select Wii games, all Virtual Console games (not to be confused with WiiWare), and maybe some WiiWare games (I don't have all of them, so I wouldn't know)).

expect this controller to disconnect every few minutes which can be a problem in the middle of a game. this is a known issue if you research it. i wish someone had stated it here before i bought it. i suppose there's a reason the wavebird is so much more expensive.

We purchased this instead of the classic Wii controller for some of the Wii games we purchased through Wii internet channel. Works great.

The product works great with the Wii System. Easy to set up and use. Works with about 90% of the wii games.

Overall it is a good controller, but Megaman 9 Does not support this controller. Basically this is a GC controller with the shape of a Classic Controller.

It does what is says, except for support for all VC games.
