I love this stand. It's lightweight and yet it holds a good deal of weight. It moves up and down with ease and seems to be durable. No complaints thus far!
After years of putting up with cheap wire stands that broke, it was time to buy a sturdier one for my musician daughter. This fits the bill nicely. Not expensive, not too heavy, can be taken apart for storage when she goes back to college. A classic.

I recently purchased this music stand. I like the design, especially the base. The whole thing looks, in one word, professional like the others have said.
This stand is sturdy as well. Not too heavy, not too light, just where it needs to be. It will not tip over regardless of how heavy the item is on top of it. (Assuming that the item is what you use for instrumental purposes...)
I compared this item to the Musician's Deluxe Stand, which has a better portability (apparently), but I chose this because the Deluxe Stand is made of plastic and this is not. This one lacks in portability a little bit due to requirement of tools (Screwdriver) to break it down, but that's about it.
It is adjustable for sitting positions to standing positions. I would recommend this stand for anyone who seeks one.
This is absolutely the best music stand. All my voice students must own a "sturdy music stand" and Manhasset is what I recommend for practicality and affordability.

I love this music stand. The reason I bought this was because previously I had been using a fold-up portable one, and one of the sides fell, causing my tuner to fall to the ground and break. I love how sturdy this stand is and how many books I can leave on it at once! It also looks very professional, which is great for any music teacher. There is also a separate compartment for pencils and erasers so you don't always have to be lifting up the books to find your pencils. To adjust to height, you just need to pull/push down. It's so easy.
The assembly was fairly easy with only a screwdriver and perhaps a pair of pliers needed. Although it didn't come with any instructions, I was able to figure it out.
