| Fantastic frame - bought for my wife - we are sop happy with quality. Just get a smaller USB key to plug in - it will need to stay there permanently. It has very little internal memory (100 MB, I think). But that woud be okay if there were any way to get the pictures to show from both the internal and external memory. As it is (unless I am stupid), you need to choose the view pictures (on slideshow) from either internal or external memory. So basically the internal memory is useless since you'll be using a USB key the whole time. Again, aside from that complaint, great buy - go for it! |

"The best truly multi-lingual frame with a bright screen" | 2009-01-24 |

This picture frame, although not perfect, is the best one among such names as Sony, Philips, and others I researched.
Its esthetics is superb. The black and white adds to picture's brightness. The finish is suitable for a wall and desktop applications. For people not fond of this looks, this unit comes with other inserts that go under the black, completely removable frame. Thus your can create your own finish!
The technology is very good. The pictures look much, much better then in Sony's products. The additional features in Sony's products don't make up for the difference. If only the Kodak's menu could be easier then the competition's, too...
Finally, the languages and world-wide power adapter (without plug converters) seals this as the best overall product. It seems to speak all languages of the Americas, Europe, and then some.
All in all, great product. If not for the (on par with competition) menus this product would get 5 stars.

"Excellent Product!" | 2009-01-07 |

| I purchased this product as a Christmas gift for my son in the Navy, and I received it on a timely basis, in perfect condition. I loaded 1gb worth of pictures and music onto a memory card and popped it into the frame so that as soon as it was turned on, it would begin playing the slideshow of pictures, in date order, against a background of music of my choosing, perfect! I can now configure new memory cards with additional slideshows and music in the future, and just send that to my son so he can plug it in and see the new pictures! |

"Clunky interface, shuffle feature not working, more..." | 2008-12-21 |

| So using amazons ratings as a good starting point for purchasing this frame i picked it up. I soon realized once open that the internal 128MB was worthless. I purchased (2) 4GB USB sticks to make compatibility as easy as possible for this was a gift for my 65 year old mother. I found the TOUCH interface clunky. I dread having to explain how this functions to my Mother after she receives it on the holiday. The interface is particularly unuser friendly wanting to default to the limited 128MB internal memory each time its started instead of defaulting to the USB card i have left inserted. For those of you who like TOUCH interfaces, this is no IPHONE or IPOD. The SHUFFLE feature does not work - this randomization of photos is most likely the #1 feature you could want on a device like this. Kodaks website - the software updates do not have release dates which makes if much more difficult to know if you are going to benefit from a particular download, especially for the non tech type persons out there. When wondering how to change the duration for each photo that was displayed for more then 5 seconds (default) the printed manual referred me to the "extended manual" located on kodaks website. The 1/4" non-extended kodak manual became worthless pretty fast though in typical Kodak fashion it was in seven languages. It's going to take some time to see how my retirement age parents are able to enjoy it. Another huge Kodak marketing misrepresentation. On the cover and the back they show two different people holding the frame as if it is cordless. With the impression that it can be easily passed around from person to person in a room. With the 6' cord tethering you to the frame this will be much more difficult then imagined while purchasing. No option for the frame to even run on a battery source. I've waited a few years for the prices to come down on these digital frames. It seems the software is still at 1.0 though, with the SHUFFLE feature the one thing that disappoints me the most. Every time the frame is started you have to start in order and you do get tired of having to see the same photos each time the frame is started. The color, brightness and contrast are very nice and the mat looks real enough and is apparently swappable. Also the Kodak chat feature for tech support was not open to answer my questions even though the site advertises 24/7 7 day a week chat support. Its an amazing technology that needs a few tweaks yet. Buyer beware. I'm having to give it 2 stars counter 3.5 it's currently averaging, though it could be 4 quickly with better software and more accurate marketing by Kodak. |
