The camera is good. Sure it does not have the best video output, but it is a web cam. My problem is Sony does not have enough aplications that you would need this for, so until then you should probably hold off.

Don't know anyone to play EoJ with, which came with my camera. BUT I really like Mesmerize and Aquatopia from PSN for the PS3 Eye. Virtual fish leave NO actual mess, happy days!
I wish it was a little more compact, my LIVE Vision camera keeps complaining about being over-crowded.

Hi Guys,
I just bought the Playstation Eye, It has a good resolution and so, but I think that there should be more software support for it. The games should use the peripheral more often, and Sony should create more ways to use the camera.
I hope in the near future I will use it more often, because until now, It is just standing as an ordinary webcam for me.

This camera is better than my cell phone camera and webcam put together! It picks up sounds very nicely and clearly without needing to be loud, as it should with four microphones. The camera itself is descent, and it can zoom in and out using the lens cover. It turns maybe 30* left or right to zoom in and out. The camera shows you when the camera is hooked up and functional and it tells you when the camera is actually on and viewing using the blue and red LEDs on the front. They can be bright during movies, but some electrical tape can solve that problem. lol The camera can be moved up, down, left, and right. The cord is fairly long, so you can have more options for placement. I believe you can use this with other devices as well. I don't like the fact that you cannot change the sensitivity of the microphones! LAME! It takes a little to activate them, but they're crystal clear.
Overall, a good pc camera!

I bought this for my son so he could video chat with friends he's known online for years. I was quite pleased with this product. It actually is capable of more than we need, but it performs very well. Good clarity in the video, very little to no shifting when you pan right or left. The sound is very good too. All around great purchase if you want a webcam type product. Other product reviews listed here gave me the information I needed when I sought to buy this. They have more detail and are worth reading. You will not be sorry you bought it.
