"Better than composite but not worth it."

This product is better than using composite AV cables but is rather uselss. I bought this for my PS2 and I have to say that the difference between composite and component is rather huge but in my opinion not needed. Here's my pros and cons.
Pros: Brighter more vivid picture. Color really comes out with these cables.
Cons: Longer load times for game (system has to do more work to output progressive scan). Lots of game frameskips. Cannot play PS1 games on a PS2 with these cables. PS2 games are a lot more "jagged" than they are with composite.
Now I know that these cables are for PS2 AND PS3 but heres why I think that are not worth it. If you are using these for a PS2, most games only output to 480i and not 480p(component) for PS2 anyways so they aren't worth it. If you are using these for a PS3 (which I recently bought a 60gig full BC and tested composite, component, and HDMI), the PS3 will make the PS2 games not as "jagged" as they did on the PS2 with these cables, but they can only output to 480p which most PS3 games are either 720p 1080i or 1080p and in this case you will need HDMI to output to those resolutions. The price of this product compared to an HDMI cable may be lower or equal money wise, I would strongly advise not getting this product and spending the extra money for an HDMI cable, because you will see a HUGE difference and be a lot more satisfied.
Conclusion: If you are thinking about buying these cables think about why you want them. If you want them for your PS2, don't buy them cause it actually makes the game look worse (jagged) and play slower (frameskip) and no more PS1 games. If you want this for your PS3 just think of why. Unless your TV DOES NOT SUPPORT HDMI (99% of HDTV's do) then I guess this may be a reasonable idea if you aren't planning on getting a new TV but wanna play your games in progressive(480p) at least, otherwise just get HDMI, its better, faster, and its only 1 cable.
"Works Well"

I ordered this component cable a while ago, and received it promptly. I don't have an HDMI compatible tv, but it works really well for being just a step or two under.
It really made the graphics clearer, and more crisp. I certainly recommend it, though everyone probably already has it.
My particular cable was still packaged, everything worked, etc. Nothing wrong with it.

I bought this cable so that I could enjoy the wonder of bluray and my games in HD. Using the component cables even allows me to upscale my non copy protected DVDs that I burned. The only problem is that if you want to watch bd movies in 1080p, you'll need to use a HDMI cable instead. If you don't have an HDMI input on your TV, then these cables are definitely for you.

However it DOES NOT fit PS2 machines. At least not the one I have. Maybe the slim one?

Wanted to get the best out of my tube-tv. So I decided to hook up my PS3 via component cables. Works fine with my tv. Don't expect to see a huge difference from the composite cables.
